Aldi Introduces the Belavi Wooden Porch Rocker

This post is an open thread and contains affiliate links.

I have, in my sunroom, a very old wooden rocking chair. It is over a century old — perhaps as old as 150 years — and we believe my great-great grandfather used to sit in it. It’s been repainted a few times since it was made, and it has a space on the seat where we have a more modern cushion for comfort, but it still works like you would expect a wooden rocking chair to work.

We don’t use it often, but people do sit in it sometimes. It’s a nice perch to look out the window and watch the sun set, or to read a book. Rocking chairs are good for that.

Aldi, which sells almost anything, it seems, is selling an honest-to-goodness wooden rocking chair.

What We Know:

Belavi Wooden Porch Rocker

The Belavi Wooden Porch Rocker (Product Code: 706427) is an Aldi Find. That means it’s only in stores for a limited time. Stores only get a single shipment, and once it’s gone, it’s gone, at least until it comes back into stores again, which might be next year, or not at all. Aldi doesn’t ship products online, so if you can’t find it in stores, you’re out of luck.

At the time of this post, the rocker costs $89.99.

According to Aldi, the wooden rocker’s features include:

  • Dimensions of 26.8″ x 33.9″ x 45.3″
  • A solid wood frame with backrest
  • Easy assembly; tools included
  • Contoured slat seating
  • Weight capacity: 225 lb.
  • Available in Barbados Cherry or White
  • A one-year warranty

What We Don’t Know:

We haven’t tried out this particular rocking chair, so we don’t know how easy assembly actually is, how comfortable it is, or how well it holds up. We also don’t currently know who the warranty provider is. That’s why we’ve created this open thread for users to share their experiences.

      1. Are they comfortable? Can you confirm the width of the seat is 33 inches? I know thats what the box says, but I’m worried thats the depth, including the legs. Thank you!

  1. Complete and total garbage
Being outside less than a year and they rotted and disintegrated. Like it’s make from balsa wood
