Fit & Active 20 Calorie Vanilla Cream Bars
Aldi has a plethora of house brands that make up the majority of products sold there. Aldi also boasts prices lower than what you’d see from name brands.
Fit & Active is an Aldi house brand that mainly focuses on healthier foods. Aldi doesn’t seem to carry as many Fit & Active products now compared to a few years ago, but we still see a few items under this brand. It includes some of Aldi’s healthier cereals, along with water enhancers/mixes. We also recently picked up some low-calorie ice cream bars under the Fit & Active name.
Fit & Active 20 Calorie Vanilla Cream Bars are $2.69 for 13.5 ounces and are a Seasonal Product. They’re stocked during the summer months but aren’t in Aldi stores year round. There are 10 bars in a box, which comes out to about 27 cents per bar. The box contains three flavors: strawberry vanilla, orange vanilla, and cherry vanilla.
One serving is one bar, and each serving has 20 calories, 0 grams of total fat, 10 milligrams of sodium, 6 grams of total carbohydrates, 2 grams of total sugars, 4 grams of sugar alcohol, and 1 gram of protein.
If you’re watching out for allergens, these contain milk.

The bars are sweetened with Splenda, also known as sucralose. This is an artificial sweetener, but because it’s made from real sugar, many people like the taste of it more than other sweeteners, and it doesn’t leave an aftertaste. Sucralose may end up stimulating your appetite, making you want to eat more.
These bars also contain erythritol and sorbitol, which are sugar alcohols, and they have some health risks. They’ve been linked to a possible increased risk of heart attack or stroke. Additionally, consuming too much at once can lead to digestive issues like cramping, gas, and diarrhea.
These bars also contain a number of processed ingredients, including guar gum, locust bean gum, carrageenan, natural flavor, maltodextrin, and xanthan gum.
We’ll leave it to readers to decide if these are worth it.

As for the bars’ flavors, I really liked them, though they taste artificial. Orange was a little bitter and was my least favorite flavor, though orange flavoring has never really been a hit with me. Strawberry was also artificial-tasting, but it was sweeter than orange, which made it more enjoyable. Cherry didn’t have as much of an artificial taste, and because of that and its sweet flavor, it was my favorite out of them all, and all our other taste testers seemed to agree.
These have a slightly creamy texture, with the fruit-flavored parts having a little more of a popsicle consistency.

Ultimately, these could be very helpful for anyone trying to limit their calorie or sugar intake, but be aware that there are potential tradeoffs.
The Verdict:
The Fit & Active 20 Calorie Bars are $2.69 and are a summertime a Seasonal Product at Aldi. I generally liked the taste of these bars, and perhaps I’ll buy them again in the future, but they’re something I’ll enjoy in moderation.
