KIRKTON HOUSE LED Curtain Lights
I’ve been reorganizing my room over the last few months and, lucky for me, it coincides with all of Aldi’s back-to-school gear. Specifically, college dorm room decor. A lot of what Aldi is selling can also be used as normal room decor, and it’s being sold at affordable Aldi prices.
Among other things, I picked up some LED curtain lights.
The KIRKTON HOUSE LED Curtain Lights are $4.99 in 2025. They’re an Aldi Find, meaning they’re only in stores for a limited time. Each store gets one shipment, and once they’re gone, they’re gone. You can’t order these online from Aldi.
The lights come in four styles, two with artificial foliage and two without. If you want plain lights, they come in warm white and ombre. With foliage, you can choose between ivory warm or eucalyptus warm white (I bought the latter). The only difference between the two options with leaves is the shape of the leaves; the lights look to be the same color. All of the curtain lights are 3.5’ x 5’.
Aldi has the cheapest lights I’ve ever found like this. On Amazon, the cheapest I could find plain curtain lights selling for was $7. With leaves, the cheapest I found was $10.

In each pack, there are six strands of lights and 96 individual bulbs. They require three AA batteries that aren’t included.
The lights also come with a paper with details about changing the batteries and additional warnings.
You can control the lights by turning them on and off manually, but you can also set it on timer mode, which is in the middle on the control switch. This keeps the lights on for six hours and off for eighteen.
When you open the lights, they come bundled in ties, so you have to remove them, and be careful not to tangle them. It took me a few minutes to untangle them and get my bearings. The battery pack runs along the top of the lights, and once I figured that out, it got easier. There are small black zip ties all over the lights that keep the lights and leaves together, and you don’t want to take those off. They aren’t too noticeable, and without them you run a greater risk of tangling them up.
I initially wasn’t sure where to hang these, but I ultimately decided on a wall in our basement. We put four small metal hooks in the ceiling joists to hang the lights. One important note is that the battery pack is heavy, and it hangs down on the left side acting as a counterweight. It’s very noticeable in the photos, and moving it causes all the lights to fall. So, if I don’t want the battery pack to be visible, I’ll probably have to figure out a way to fasten the lights firmly to their hooks to keep them in place.
Once on, the lights are really pretty and cast a warm glow around the whole room. I don’t know how long the batteries will last, but even when the light are off, the leaves give off a whimsical vibe all on their own. I’d been looking to add some decor to that space for a while, and these lights were exactly what I needed.
The Verdict:
The KIRKTON HOUSE LED Curtain Lights are $4.99 and are an Aldi Find. These were a great purchase, they’re super cute and affordable, and they are great for both college dorms and the average room. I’m curious how long they’ll work, but for now, they’ve exceeded my expectations and are a great addition to any space.
