Casa Mamita Beef Street Tacos

I’m always up for tacos of all kinds. I also occasionally appreciate quick-heat single-serve meals on days when I need lunch in a hurry. Recently, Aldi sold beef street tacos that fit this bill. When I found these in the grocer’s Aldi Find freezer aisle, it was an easy decision to pick up a box.

Casa Mamita Beef Street Tacos are an Aldi Find. That means each store gets one shipment, and after that sells out, they’re gone. Aldi does not offer online ordering if these are out of stock at your local store.

These cost $4.29 for a 5.5-ounce box at our local store in 2025. We bought this with our own money to review. That comes out to about 78 cents per ounce. One box contains one two-taco serving.

The package states these feature a flour tortilla, savory beef crumbles, melty shredded hot pepper cheese, pinto beans, red peppers, jalapeno peppers, and white cheddar cheese sauce.

If you’re looking out for allergens, these contain egg, milk, soy, and wheat.

These tacos have a lengthy ingredients list that includes some processed items, along with plenty of fat, saturated fat, and sodium. They even have some trans fat.

One serving (2 tacos) has 360 calories, 18 grams of total fat (23% DV), 9 grams of saturated fat (45% DV), 0.5 grams of trans fat, 1,160 mg of sodium (50% DV), 33 grams of total carbohydrates (12% DV), 2 grams of dietary fiber (7% DV), 3 grams of total sugars, 1 gram of added sugars (2% DV), and 14 grams of protein.

When you open the box, you’ll find a plastic-wrapped tray with two tacos.

The box has directions only for microwaving these. Remove the tray of tacos from the plastic wrap. Place the tray on a microwave-safe plate. Microwave on high for 1 minute and 45 seconds or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees. Let stand in the microwave for 1 minute before serving.

These are definitely quick and easy to heat, and the little tray they’re microwaved in helps keep the tacos upright. The flour tortillas are soft in the middle and a bit chewy in spots nearer to the edges, since they’re cooked in the microwave.

As for the filling, it’s a gooey mix of meat, peppers, cheese, and sauce. It’s mildly spicy and overall tastes good. However, it’s ultra-processed and not something I’ll be eating on a regular basis.

The Verdict:

Casa Mamita Beef Street Tacos feature flour tortillas filled with beef, peppers, and cheese. They are not very spicy. They’re easy when you want a quick lunch for one person, but be aware they have a lot of sodium, fat, and processed ingredients.
