Lacura Face Care Hydrating Facial Cleanser

Years ago, Aldi used to sell a hydrating facial cleanser that a lot of our readers liked. Aldi discontinued it and introduced some different cleansers around 2020.

Sometime in 2026, I noticed Aldi has quietly started stocking a new hydrating facial cleanser. The label says this is comparable to CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser. I’m not sure how long this has been in stores, but it caught my attention and I picked one up to try.

Lacura Face Care Hydrating Facial Cleanser is a Regular Buy or core range item. That means you should be able to find it all year at Aldi. It’s stocked among the other personal care products such as hand soap, lotion, and body wash.

This facial cleanser cost $5.49 for a 12-ounce container in 2026. That’s around 46 cents per ounce. For comparison, I found name-brand CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser for a little over $13 for a 12-ounce bottle, or more than $1 per ounce, at Walmart in 2026.

This Aldi cleanser is sold under the Lacura brand, which is not a company or manufacturer. Instead, it’s the name Aldi puts on various personal care products it sells, which it sources from different suppliers.

This is made in the U.S. with U.S. and foreign components.

The directions for use are straightforward. Gently massage a small amount onto wet skin and rinse.

This has a medium consistency. It’s not too thick and not too thin. It’s unscented and mild, and it works well if you want something simple and gentle to wash your face with.

I had gotten away from buying facial cleansers at Aldi in recent years because I didn’t like some of the reformulations they’d made. However, this current facial cleanser seems like a good one. I’ll be buying this again.

The Verdict:

Lacura Face Care Hydrating Facial Cleanser is comparable to CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser. It’s fragrance free, gentle, and a fraction of the cost of name brand. Recommended.
