Bremer Family Size Baked Ziti

Sometimes things show up in the Aldi Find freezer that look too interesting to pass up. For instance, this week I found a large package of baked ziti.

The package describes this as “freshly made pasta in a rich meat sauce made with sausage and topped with mozzarella cheese.”

Bremer Family Size Baked Ziti is an Aldi Find. That means it’s in stores for just a short time. Each store should receive one shipment, and after that sells out, it’s gone unless Aldi decides to bring it back at some later time. Aldi does not offer online ordering if this is out of stock at your local store.

This was scheduled to be available starting May 20th, 2026.

The baked ziti cost $10.99 for a 57-ounce package in 2026. That comes out to about 19 cents per ounce. There are about 7 servings per package, which comes out to about $1.57 per serving. We buy Aldi products for review using our own funds.

This has directions for cooking from frozen or from thawed in a conventional oven.

To bake from frozen, preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Bend a corner of the lid upward to create a small vent. Place the ziti tray on a baking sheet on the center rack. Cook for 65 minutes. Uncover and cook an additional 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and let stand for 5 minutes.

To bake from thawed, first thaw the ziti in the refrigerator for 24 hours. Then preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Bend a corner of the lid upward to create a small vent. Place the tray on a baking sheet on the center rack. Cook for 45 minutes. Uncover and cook an additional 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and let stand for 5 minutes.

I baked this from frozen, and it was done in the advertised amount of time.

How it Tastes:

This was a hit in my house. It’s a generous amount of pasta, with plenty of flavorful sauce, a bit of cheese, and small bits (sometimes very small bits) of meat scattered throughout. I don’t think it has as much meat as the photo on the box implies, but I don’t expect pasta dishes to be heavy on meat.

I prefer pasta that’s more al dente, and this pasta is pretty soft. That’s not a deal breaker, though.

The Verdict:

Bremer Family Size Baked Ziti features a large tray of tender pasta with lots of sauce and a scattering of cheese and meat. It tastes good. Pair it with a salad or other veggie for a complete meal.

  1. I added some cooked Italian sausage and extra mozzarella cheese and it was absolutely delicious.

  2. We had the baked ziti tonight and I agree with every word of your review. Good flavor, slightly too mushy for my taste, but I’d buy it again. It was certainly easier than homemade. (The flavor reminded us a bit of Kirkland beef and sausage lasagna, but with less meat.)
