Aldi Recalls Pet Advent Calendars Due to Choking Hazard

Aldi recently announced on its website that it is voluntarily recalling its two pet Advent calendars — the Heart to Tail Pure Being Cat Advent Calendar and the Heart to Tail Pure Being Dog Advent Calendar — over concerns related to the treats being a potential choking hazard.

Aldi reports that this was done after receiving complaints from customers and after consulting with the supplier. This lines up both with our experiences and with the comments we’ve received from readers on our reviews of both calendars. In particular, many people have reported to us that their pets found the treats hard to chew, with some people noting that the treats seemed hard.
