Mama Cozzi’s Rising Crust Pizzas

I’m always on the lookout for pizzas to stock my deep freezer with. Frozen pizza is a favorite on busy nights when we have to eat and then go off to a school concert or other event. It’s fairly quick to cook, and it doesn’t result in a lot of dirty dishes to wash later. Frozen pizza is also easy for many kids to make on their own, and my kids like to pop one in the oven for a relaxed lunch on a weekend or school break.

My family has a few favorites from the Aldi wall freezers, including stuffed crust pizza. We also like these rising crust pizzas.

I might be wrong, but these appear to be Regular Buys, which means you should be able to find them at Aldi all year.

Mama Cozzi’s Rising Crust Pizza cost $4.99 for a 29.75-30.2-ounce pizza at the time of publication. This is sold in pepperoni or cheese varieties. The packages describe these pizzas as “premium” and says they have a “full fluffy crust.”

If you’re looking out for allergens, both pizza varieties contain wheat, milk, and soy.

The backs of the boxes have directions for baking the pizzas in a conventional oven. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Remove the pizza from packaging. Place the frozen pizza directly on the center rack in the preheated oven. (I put the pizzas on pizza pans to keep my oven clean.) Bake for 21-24 minutes or until cheese is melted and the crust is golden brown.

My pizzas were done in about 22-23 minutes, coming out nicely golden brown. Keep reading for more information about each variety.
