Our Aldi Wish List for 2026

The new year means it’s time once again to ask our writers what products they’d like to see at Aldi in the coming year. These might be products Aldi has never sold before, or they might be products we haven’t seen in a while at Aldi. They might be products we wish Aldi would sell every day or products we wish Aldi would sell once a year or seasonally.
Without further ado, here’s our 2026 Aldi wish list.
Rachael’s Wish List:
Loose leaf tea. I’ve learned that some tea bags contain a small amount of plastic, which can leach microplastics into your tea when you pour hot water over a tea bag. Plastic in tea bags also means that not all tea bags are good to put in my backyard compost pile. Loose leaf tea doesn’t come with the plastic worries. Aldi has occasionally sold some loose leaf teas, but it’s been several years since I’ve seen any at Aldi.
Whole wheat or whole grain hamburger buns. I’ve been trying to get away from white bread wherever I can, and this is one area Aldi could offer better selection in.
Clotted cream. This has been on my list for a few years. Aldi sometimes sells scones and lemon curd, and clotted cream would go well with these.
Journey to India Butter Chicken as an everyday Regular Buy. This is the best butter chicken I’ve had outside of a restaurant, but Aldi only sells it occasionally as an Aldi Find.
Shampoo and conditioner bars. Regular shampoo and conditioner bottles contribute to plastic waste, so I’ve seen shampoo and conditioner bars grow in popularity, and I’ve even tried some from other stores. I’d love to see Aldi sell some, even as a limited-time Aldi Find.
Single baking potatoes. Aldi sells a lot of its produce in bags with multiples, and many of our readers wish the grocer would offer single lemons, limes, potatoes, and other pieces of produce. I’ve come to terms with the bags of lemons and limes, which I juice and freeze in ice cube trays to use later. However, it would be nice to have the ability to buy a single baking potato.
Large non-tumbling outdoor compost bins. Aldi sells a small tumbling composter each spring. It doesn’t have much capacity, and bins that sit directly on the ground work better, in my opinion. Aldi sold such a bin years ago, but I haven’t seen it in a long time.
Orchid flower pots. Aldi sells orchid plants several times a year. Orchids don’t like “wet feet” and grow well in pots designed with special drainage holes in the sides, but orchids aren’t usually sold in those specialized orchid planters and you have to buy them separately. Considering how many orchids Aldi sells, it would make sense for Aldi to sell orchid planters once in a while.
A Mickey Waffle Maker. Aldi sells all kinds of Disney fan gear several times a year. Mickey-shaped waffles are popular in Disney parks, so why not sell Mickey waffle makers so people can make their favorite Disney treat at home?
A hammock chair stand or C frame for all the hanging hammock chairs Aldi sells. Likewise, some regular freestanding hammock frames would be nice, too, for times when you don’t have trees to hang your Aldi hammock from.
Josh’s Wish List:
The old online ad. I would guess this train has left the station, but that won’t stop me from hoping. The old Aldi ad was vintage but incredibly helpful, with details about all the upcoming Aldi Finds. The new ad, which made its debut in late 2024, was a clunky mess. The company must have hoped it would be an online shopping portal, but in my view all it’s done is made in-person shopping harder because it’s more difficult to search and find product details before going to the store. Aldi has made incremental improvements to the site since then, but the best parts of the old ad remain MIA.
Queso blanco. Aldi has served up the excellent white Mexican cheese in the past, but it’s been a while since we’ve seen it. It’s overdue for a return visit.
Regular Buy turkey sausage or chicken sausage. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve gravitated away from red meat and toward white meat. Aldi sells a decent amount of poultry if you want to make chicken wings or that Thanksgiving turkey, but there’s not as much love if you’re looking to replace your breakfast pork sausage with something healthier. I’d love to see Aldi do like Trader Joe’s and serve up a chicken sausage, or at least make the turkey sausage more common.
A clock that isn’t terrible. Seemingly all of our clock reviews are awash in comments about how hard they are to use, a subject I’ve pounded on in the past. It shouldn’t be all that hard to craft a clock that is dependable and easy to use.
Dental floss. I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve written about this subject. Aldi has never carried this staple oral hygiene product, and while I understand the underlying business reasons, it does nothing to lessen my disappointment. At some point it would be nice to see the stuff, even as an Aldi Find.
Abby’s Wish List:
The Classic World Wooden Playset Rocket Playset. Aldi sold a really cool spaceship playset, alongside a tree house playset, back in December of 2023. I didn’t buy it back then, but as a collector of unique toys, I wish I had.

And, if you’re interested, here are our Aldi wish lists from past years:

Daytime facial moisturizer that contains sunscreen
I would love to see grits, single baked potatoes, smoked ham hocks to cook with beans and self rising corn meal and self rising flour.
There was a sports-type lightweight bra that had a set of regular over-the-shoulder straps and a set of straps that went into a V in the back. I bought two, they are my favorite bras. I keep looking for them to come back.
I 100% agree with your wish list for the old Aldi’s ad. I used to be able to get some details about an item. As an example the size of something. Now we get a picture and nothing more. No details about size or if it’s offered in different colors or sizes. I find this frustrating and will often go to other websites looking for similar items because I feel like Aldis doesn’t really care if I purchase from them or not.
Rachel, I agree with you on the Butter Chicken, but also the Tikka Masala! Not the ones with the rice! I make much better Basmati Rice, using stock instead of plain water.
-Lacura Facial Mattifier
-Lacura Moisture Luxury Shampoo and Conditioner
I would like to see more products that are from Germany. Having lived there for a time it would be nice to see more of their products on the shelves. I am thankful for the jarred sauerkraut, and very occasionally, the red cabbage along with a few more items.
I would love, love, love to see the Simply Nature Bread(less) crumbs back on the shelf. They are gluten free, plant based with 5 grams of protein and the best bread crumbs I’ve ever had. I find that most of the Simply Nature gluten free products are very good and stock up whenever they are on the shelf. I bought at least 10 bags of the breadless crumbs and have not seen them back on the shelves since.
They’ve been gone a couple years but would love to see them back again, look for them every time I go… The Freemont Beer Battered Cod that came in a bag of 4 with an odd shape like a triangle on top of a square. I just won’t buy their current beer battered brand that come in a box, too much breading and not enough fish.
The Kale and the Quinoa Crunch vegan burgers. They tasted just like fried zucchini. Best thing ever.
Also a lot of their Earth Grown items have been disappearing over the years. I loved the meatballs.
And most recently, the Breakfast Best sausage egg cheese croissants. Jimmy Dean is too greasy, but the Meijer brand is basically the same as what I got at Aldi.
And how about customer service? The website and app tells you nothing. You can’t even call the store and ask them if they have something in stock. Even trying the local number gets you derailed. They expect me to drive a half hour just to find out that something is still out of stock? I told them this was the last straw and I’ve got no reason to come back.
I would like to see the flame grilled meatless burger and the parmesan encrusted flounder
This story is a great idea! Thank you!
Here we go with my wish list:
The OLD aldi ad with details
Regular buy turkey sausage
Clean cream and cottage cheese without all the gums and fillers and gunk
Customer service to answer local store questions. Recently, there was a full delivery of basic eggs in the cooler and all the cartons looked odd. Upon closer inspection something was evidently sprayed over all the cartons and it left an orangy/yellow stain on the cartons. No one had answers. This was not only bizarre to me…but utterly creepy. No one had answers. I went to a different store locally and same thing and no one had answers. They are still like that. Further with all the recent weird weather and power outages, we might want to call the store to see if they are open or closing early.
Thank you for this platform and all your hard work!
I would like to see the Specialty pasta in a bag with the pepper offered more often, the maple bread that came out last fall, the OLD recipe cinnamon rolls in the fresh bakery section back, agree with the single larger baking potatoes, and single onions and green peppers, and what about spelling bags of ice?
The light salted caramel ice cream – it is a staple in my fridge when they have it. Have tried several other Aldi varieties but none compare to the creaminess of the salted caramel.
The boxed frozen salmon burgers
Bring back: stuffed clam shells (frozen)
I agree the new format ads suck!
Around Christmas, Aldi used to have cheese fondue. We used to stock up and store them in the freezer so we could have cheese fondue a couple of times a month (usually on Sunday nights) during the winter. We haven’t seen them for a couple of years. Cheese fondue is on my wish list
A return of the Crofton cast iron oval 3qt roaster (Le Crueset dupe).
I truly am not expecting a reply, I’ve asked a few times before with no response!
Some years back, Aldi offered a Gluten Free shopper such a great variety of foods! That was,
some years back!! Special Pasta’s even one that was stuffed, Bagels, special breads…and more!
Now, I think myself fortunate to find a few items, now and again!
Why?? I’ve never gotten a response to the Why!!
This site is not run by Aldi, so we can’t answer your question. Here’s information on how to contact Aldi: https://www.aldireviewer.com/contact-aldi/
I would love to see Loose Leaf Black Tea as well. I totally agree about the new vs old ad format. I even sent email to Aldi when they changed it to no avail.
