Pembrook Bluetooth Label Maker Landing at Aldi

By day, I work in education. I’ve learned over the years that — at work as well as life — organization is my friend. When I keep my life organized, life tends to run more smoothly. When life gets less organized, that’s typically when problems are more likely to pop up, especially those of the foreseeable variety.

Organization can come in many forms. One important tool in the fight to organize is making sure things are labeled or marked right.

I’ve used thermal label makers over the years. That’s why I took notice when Aldi decided to sell one.

What We Know:

The Pembrook Bluetooth Label Maker is an Aldi Find, meaning it’s only in stores for a short time. Once it’s sold out, it’s sold out, and you won’t be able to get it until it comes back into stores, whenever that might be. Aldi doesn’t ship it’s products in the mail, so if you can’t find one of these in stores, you’re out of luck.

In 2025, the label maker cost $19.99. That’s on the lower end of prices for label makers compared to those on Amazon, although I did find some that were lower. It comes in two colors, blue and white.

Here’s what Aldi has to say about this:

• Thermal printed labels with no messy ink refills
• Includes label maker, USB-C charging cord, and 2 rolls of labels (125 labels per roll)
• Replacement tape rolls available from online retailers
• Bluetooth enabled device compatible with Android 7.0 or above and iOS 11.00 or above

I have considerable professional experience with thermal label makers, including well-respected name brand devices. On the positive side, the no-ink part is nice. You don’t have to fiddle with refilling anything but the labels. They’re easy enough. Also, you can typically find thermal labels online without a problem. That’s a reason why many people in my line of work use them.

On the negative side, thermal labels will fade over time, and faster than ink. Because they essentially heat the label, certain factors — including time — cause them to fade. Sunlight is particularly hard on thermal labels as regular direct sunlight can cause them to fade in mere months. Trust me on this. It can and will happen even if you use a name brand label maker or premium label.

In short, there are tradeoffs with thermal labels. It’s just important to know those tradeoffs going into things.

What We Don’t Know:

We haven’t tried this specific label maker, so we don’t know how easy setup and operation is, how good the labels look, or how long it lasts. We’ve created this open thread for users to share experiences.
