SOHL Furniture Nested Table Set Landing at Aldi

I can’t pretend to be on the cutting edge of consumer trends. I don’t know that most people are. Instead, most of us, myself included, tend to stumble on trends because they’ve become so popular they’re just about impossible to miss. Of course, by that time, a trend’s very popularity makes it untrendy. People are less likely to think something is special when everyone else has it.

If you were to tell someone that you learn about consumer trends from a grocery store, they might think you’re crazy. Aldi, of course, is no ordinary grocery store, which is why I’ve found it to be an interesting barometer on emerging consumer trends. Often, our writing here clues me in to something that is on the uptick in the trend department.

In 2023, Aldi first clued me in to the rise of nesting tables, which are both practical and a little stylish. You can stow them together — always a plus — and they’re also going to be nice little conversation pieces when they’re out. This latest model is similar but distinct to the ones Aldi sold before.

What We Know:

The SOHL Furniture Nested Table Set (Product Code: 712755) is an Aldi Find. Stores get a single shipment, and once that shipment is sold out, you won’t be able to get it again until it comes back, whenever that might be. Aldi doesn’t ship products online, so if you can’t find this item in stores, you’re out of luck.

At the time of publication, this set cost $39.99. Most nesting tables I can find online are at least twice that cost, so from that perspective it’s a good deal.

Aldi doesn’t have any information on these tables on its website. The pictures indicate that they’re wood-topped, which is different from Aldi’s earlier glass-topped nesting tables. (Those glass-topped tables were $69.99 when they were sold.) We don’t currently have dimensions, or specs, or materials, or any other information.

What We Don’t Know:

In addition to lacking specs on the set, we also haven’t yet tried these out, so we don’t know how easily they assemble, how sturdy they are, or how well they hold up to use. That’s why we’ve created this open thread for users to share experiences.
