Some Aldi Apple Juice Part of Recall Over Elevated Arsenic Levels
On September 5, 2024, Aldi announced that it was recalling a select number of Nature’s Nectar 100% Apple Juice over “potential elevated levels of inorganic arsenic.” Arsenic poisoning can lead to nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Aldi is one of several grocers affected by the recall, including Walmart (Great Value) and Dollar General (Clover Valley). The juice is distributed by Refresco Beverages.
Aldi stores in the following states are affected: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. The specific product has a UPC code of 4099100036381 and a best-by stamp of either MAR2625 CT89-4 or MAR2725 CT89-4.
