You can make a mean Mexican-themed meal using ingredients purchased at Aldi, and that includes guacamole dip. Aldi sells fresh avocados if you want to make your dip from scratch, but if you’re in a rush, just pick up a box of pre-made guacamole from the refrigerated section.
Aldi’s Little Salad Bar guacamole sells for $2.99 at time of publication and comes in classic and spicy flavors. I always opt for the classic, mild flavor because my kids don’t like spicy foods. Each box contains two 8-ounce pouches of guacamole.
This is fine for dipping with tortilla chips, but I usually prefer to make my guac from fresh avocados if it’s going to be used solely for dipping. I generally recommend this pre-made product as a topping for tacos or loaded nachos, where it isn’t going to be the main focus of your meal or snack. It has a smoother texture than homemade, which may be good or bad, depending on your preference.
The dip is made with hand scooped Hass avocados. The ingredients list is as follows: Hass avocados, distilled vinegar, contains 2% or less of water, jalapeno peppers, salt, dehydrated onion, granulated garlic. It is a product of Mexico.

The box even comes with a recipe for empanadas using crescent dough, prepared guacamole, tomato, scallions, lime juice, ground beef or chopped grilled chicken breast, and shredded Monterey Jack cheese.
Homemade guacamole made with fresh avocados always tastes best, but Aldi’s Little Salad Bar Classic Guacamole is made with real avocados and tastes pretty good. The texture is a little smoother than I prefer my guac, but it will do if you are in a hurry and don’t have time to make it from scratch.
