Savoritz Mini Cheese Sandwich Crackers + Mini Peanut Butter Sandwich Crackers

Crackers by themselves are a decent snack. But a little cheese or peanut butter filling can turn plain crackers into tiny sandwiches that offer a satisfying savory treat to fend off afternoon munchies or to pack in a lunch box. Name-brand Ritz Bits mini sandwich crackers come to mind, but Aldi sells its own line of sandwich crackers.

Savoritz Mini Cheese and Peanut Butter Sandwich Crackers

Savoritz Mini Naturally Flavored Cheese Sandwich Crackers and Savoritz Mini Naturally Flavored Peanut Butter Sandwich Crackers cost $2.29 for an 8.8-oz. box (about 26 cents per oz.) at the time of publication.

That’s a bit less than name-brand Ritz Bits cheese or peanut butter sandwich crackers, which sold for $2.89 for an 8.8-oz. box at Target (about 33 cents per oz.) at the time of publication, or $2.68 at Walmart (about 30 cents per oz.).

The Aldi sandwich crackers are Regular Buys, which means they’re available at Aldi all year.

These sandwich crackers are made with real cheese (it’s actually listed as cheddar cheese powder) and real peanut butter. Their primary ingredient is enriched flour, and they also contain natural flavors. They’re not a health food, but no one really expects crackers to be.

Each box contains about eight servings, with 12 sandwich crackers constituting one serving. They come packaged in a plastic bag inside the box, and plastic bag is thin and tears easily, but these generally don’t last long enough in my house to go stale because of packaging deficiencies, and if necessary I can easily transfer them to an airtight reusable container.

While my family prefers the cheese sandwich crackers, these are perfectly good peanut butter sandwich crackers. Again, the crackers have just the right crumbly texture when you pop one in your mouth, and the peanut butter filling nicely complements the lightly salty crackers.

  1. I can ALWAYS find the Savoritz mini cheese crackers, but it’s REALLY hard to find the peanut butter one that I think are WAY better than the cheese. Don’t get me wrong, I really like the cheese one too. SO how do I find the Peanut Butter one’s? Can I order them on-line?
