Southern Grove Coconut Cashews
I keep a large supply of various nuts in my pantry for quick, healthy snacks that offer a protein boost. Cocktail peanuts are a staple in my kitchen, as are mixed nuts and pistachios. One of my favorite types of nuts is cashews. My late grandfather was fond of cashews, and I seem to have inherited that taste preference. I often buy the large containers of roasted, salted whole cashews that Aldi stocks.
I also recently discovered some coconut cashews at Aldi, and they’ve quickly become popular among the cashew lovers in my household. These consist of whole cashews coated with a crunchy, lightly sweet, coconut-flavored coating. They’re sold in a mixed case alongside some honey roasted cashews. These are a product of Vietnam.
Southern Grove Coconut Cashews are a Regular Buy. That means you should be able to find them at Aldi all year. You’ll find these among the rest of the nuts and trail mix at Aldi.
These cost $4.75 for a 10-ounce package at the time of writing. That comes out to about 48 cents per ounce.

If you’re looking out for allergens, these contain cashews and coconut. They may contain other tree nuts. These are kosher certified.
Ingredients are cashews, powdered sugar (sugar, cornstarch), coconut, glucose syrup, coconut flour, brown sugar with color added (sugar, molasses, caramel color), gum arabic, sea salt, and coconut flavor.

One 1-ounce serving (about 16 pieces) has 150 calories, 11 grams of total fat (14% DV), 3 grams of saturated fat (15% DV), 35 mg of sodium (2% DV), 12 grams of total carbohydrates (4% DV), 2 grams of dietary fiber (8% DV), 6 grams of total sugars, 4 grams of added sugars (9% DV), and 4 grams of protein.
These cashews are fantastic when I want something that’s just a little sweet, without as much added sugar as most typical desserts. These are good enough that they’ll be regularly finding their way into my shopping cart in the future.
The Verdict:
Southern Grove Coconut Cashews feature whole cashews coated with a lightly crunchy sweet coconut-flavored coating. If you want a twist on standard salted cashews, and especially if you’re looking to satisfy a sweet tooth, these are worth trying.
