Merry Moments Tree Storage

For years, we’ve been hobbling along storing our Christmas tree in a large plastic Christmas tree storage bin that’s badly cracked. I think we bought the bin at Aldi a long time ago. This year, we decided it was time to finally give up the old broken plastic box.

I bought a tree storage bag when Aldi advertised them.

This was called the Huntington Home Holiday Tree Storage Bag in 2024. As of 2025, Aldi is calling it Merry Moments Tree Storage. Neither Huntington Home nor Merry Moments is a manufacturer. Instead, Huntington Home is the name Aldi puts on some of the home goods it sells, while Merry Moments is the name Aldi puts on its Christmas decorations.

This is an Aldi Find. That means it’s only in stores for a short time. Each store gets one shipment, and after that sells out, it’s gone. Aldi does not offer online ordering for products that are sold out at your local store.

We bought this ourselves with our own money. I paid $19.99 at my local store in 2024. You might be able to find some bags for less on Amazon, but this price is pretty competitive.

Here’s more information, according to the box:

The bag is sold inside a sturdy cardboard box that easily fits in your shopping cart, and it’s not heavy. The tree storage bag is rolled up and packaged inside the box, so you simply unroll it when you unpackage it.

It has two sets of wheels on one end so you can easily roll the bag from wherever you’re storing it to wherever you want to set your tree up. It unzips on the top of the bag on three sides, leaving a big space to put your Christmas tree into. The bag itself seems fairly sturdy, with thick fabric. It’s like a duffle bag or piece of luggage for your tree.

The picture on the box shows the tree bag has defined edges and corners that give it a rectangle shape. I don’t know whether it will stand up exactly like that when a Christmas tree is inside it, though, because it doesn’t have any internal built-in pieces to give it a defined structure like that.

Of course, our Christmas tree is up right now, so we can’t yet put this storage bag to a full test. I’ll update this post after the holidays are over. In the meantime, this bag looks promising.

The Verdict:

The Huntington Home Holiday Tree Storage Bag can hold a disassembled Christmas tree up to 9 feet tall. It features wheels on one end and carry handles so you can easily move it. It looks like it will be useful when we take down our Christmas tree after the holidays. We’ll update this post once we’ve stored our tree.

UPDATE (12/10/2025) — This bag is okay but not great in our opinion. It holds our tree just fine. However, the storage bag is lumpy and not neat and rectangular like in the packaging photos. I feel like it makes my storage room look less tidy, since it’s a big, irregularly shaped thing sitting in the corner. I think large plastic boxes are superior to this, and I’ll be checking some local big box stores to see if I can find some better storage options.
