Aldi announced in a press release that it is seeking to hire more than 20,000 new employees as the grocer continues to open new stores in the U.S. while also anticipating a busy holiday shopping season. Aldi is hosting a National Hiring Week this week, from September 20-24, 2021, and stores and warehouses will have interview events as they look to bring more people onto the Aldi team.

Aldi is looking for both store and warehouse workers, with positions including:

  • store associate
  • cashier
  • stocker
  • warehouse associate

According to the press release, Aldi has more than 2,100 stores and 25 warehouses all over the United States. The grocer has long been recognized for paying its employees better than the average grocery employee, and Aldi recently raised wages, with average warehouse positions paying $15 to $19 per hour. Aldi employees also receive benefits including healthcare, retirement plans, financial wellness and employee assistance, and paid time off.

Dave Rinaldo, co-president of Aldi U.S., said, “As an award-winning employer, we know the importance of investing in our people. Employees come to ALDI for the competitive pay and opportunity to work for a growing national brand. They stay for the career potential and satisfaction they feel knowing their work makes a difference in the communities they serve.”

Aldi was named a National Top Workplace by Energage from 2017 through 2021. Forbes has also recognized Aldi as one of America’s Best Large Employers.
