Aldi was recently named the 2018 Retailer of the Year by Supermarket News. This award recognizes Aldi’s expansion across the U.S. and its efforts to provide a high-quality experience for shoppers with products that can only be found at Aldi while also offering good value.
Aldi is a leader among competitors in the grocery market as it is in the midst of a $5.3 billion project to build new stores and remodel existing stores. Aldi recently announced plans to add new products that focus on fresh and organic foods and convenient, easy-to-prepare foods. Aldi also has begun offering online ordering and delivery in some markets. The retailer has received more than 300 awards and recognitions for its house-brand products since 2017, and Aldi received the Retailer of the Year award in 2015 as well, making this the second time in four years that Aldi has held the honor.
“We’re honored to be recognized as Retailer of the Year by Supermarket News,” said Jason Hart, CEO of
ALDI U.S. “As ALDI grows and reaches more shoppers, we’ll continue to earn their loyalty with our focus on
delivering the highest quality at the best prices in the industry.”
