Crane Gymnastics Balance Beam and Tumbling Mat Returning to Aldi

EDITOR’S NOTE: Updated for 2026.

When my kids were smaller, gymnastics was one of their favorite weekly activities. I found a place near our home that offered budget-friendly, non-competitive classes mostly focused on tumbling, with a bit of beam and bar thrown in. My kids loved it. As a mom, it was fun to watch my kids learn how to do cartwheels and roundoffs, to walk on the beam, and to improve their overall coordination and fitness.

So Aldi caught my attention when it advertised a balance beam and a tumbling mat in its middle aisle. Aldi first sold the beam and mat in February of 2025, and the grocer is bringing them back in February of 2026.

Back in 2025, I was highly curious about these. I actually showed up before my local Aldi store opened on the day the ad went into effect, thinking I’d score both the mat and the balance beam. Instead, I found empty boxes on the shelves, and just two balance beams left. The cashier told me they’d actually put the mat and beams out on shelves the day before, and they’d sold out of the mats. That was frustrating.

Two balance beams were all that was left when we showed at store opening on Wednesday morning in 2025.

So, with that in mind, if you want to buy these when they return to Aldi in 2026, I highly recommend visiting your local store on Tuesday evening, just in case they’re already set out in the middle aisle.

What We Know:

Crane Gymnastics Mat
The Crane Gymnastics Mat.

The Crane Gymnastics Balance Beam and the Crane Gymnastics Tumbling Mat are each Aldi Finds. That means they’re in stores for only a short time. Each store should get one shipment, and after they sell out, they’re gone unless Aldi decides to bring them back later. Aldi does not offer online ordering if these are not in stock at your local store.

These are scheduled to arrive in Aldi stores February 25th, 2026.

They cost $24.99 each in 2025. That’s cheaper than a lot of other mats and balance beams I found on Amazon.

In 2026, the balance beam is available in pink or green. The mat is tri-colored and comes in a choice of light pink, dark pink, and purple or yellow, green, and teal.

Aldi has not shared details about these in its online ad, so we don’t know the exact dimensions for the mat or the balance beam.

I bought the balance beam last year but didn’t end up keeping it, for various reasons. It’s around four feet long when unfolded. The beam has a foam interior that is semi-firm. It will squish down some when you step on it. It’s probably ideal for preschoolers or young elementary schoolers. It’s not the kind of beam that a kid could easily do traditional gymnastics on, since it isn’t a solid material like a regular beam. Still, it can be good for developing balance and gross motor skills.

The beam and mat are both sold under the Crane brand. That’s not a company. Instead, it’s the name Aldi puts on athletic or outdoor gear it sells, which it sources from different various suppliers.

What We Don’t Know:

We thought the balance beam was okay, but we still haven’t gotten our hands on the tumbling mat. When we haven’t had the opportunity to fully review Aldi products, we write open threads like this one to give readers a place to talk and ask questions.

  1. I looked for the gymnastics balance beam and mat at several Aldi locations and called. It is nowhere to be found??!! I told my grandkids I would get it for them but nothing! I find that a lot with their advertised products. They advertise and then you can’t find what was advertised. Very disappointing!!!!

    1. As mentioned in the post above, they’re advertised to be available in Aldi stores February 25th. We’d recommend going Tuesday evening, the 24th, in case they get set out early. They’re popular items and will probably sell out quickly.
