I live in a household that loves nuts of all kinds. Virginia peanuts. Cocktail peanuts. Trail mix with nuts. Large tubs of cashews. My late grandfather loved cashews, and we sometimes bought him cashews as part of his Christmas gift, knowing they’d be guaranteed to make him happy. I’ve always liked cashews, too, so I guess it runs in the family.
Trader Joe’s, which is a cousin to Aldi, has a robust nut aisle that includes cashews in a variety of different-sized packages, including some with special flavors or seasonings. I saw cashew butter-coated cashews highlighted in a TJ’s Fearless Flyer ad this past summer. They looked intriguing, so I jotted them down on my shopping list so I could pick some up on my next TJ’s run.
Trader Joe’s Cashew Butter Cashews cost $4.99 for an 8-ounce bag at the time of publication. The package describes these as “honey roasted cashews covered in a sweetened cashew butter coating.”
These are kosher and should be stored in a cool dry place so the cashew butter coating doesn’t melt.
They contain milk and cashews. They may also contain soy, sesame, wheat, peanut, almond, brazil nut, coconut, hazelnut, macadamia nut, pecan, pine nut, pistachio, or walnuts.

These are unique, consisting of sweet honey roasted cashews covered with a soft, melty coating made of cashew butter. They’re sweet and salty, with that classic creamy flavor cashews are known for. The cashew butter coating melts in your mouth. These are really more like a candy than just regular nuts, so you’ll want to be careful not to overdo it when enjoying these. They make a great indulgent snack, and they’re also good enough that they’d make a fantastic gift for someone who likes cashews.
