Trader Joe’s Nourish Oil-Free Antioxidant Facial Moisturizer

I’m one of those people who can’t use traditional facial moisturizers because they make my face break out in pimples. A few years ago, I discovered Neutrogena oil-free face moisturizer. I use it daily and it doesn’t cause breakouts.

The last time I was at Trader Joe’s, I noticed they sell their own formulation of oil-free facial moisturizer among all their other facial care options, so I bought a bottle to try.

Trader Joe's Nourish Oil-Free Antioxidant Facial Moisturizer

Trader Joe’s Nourish Oil-Free Antioxidant Facial Moisturizer cost $5.99 for a 6-fluid-ounce pump bottle (about $1 per ounce) at the time of publication. That’s less than the name-brand oil-free Neutrogena product, which often runs close to $10 for a 4-ounce bottle (about $2.50 per ounce, give or take).

The bottle states this is suitable for all skin types, is dermatologist-formulated, fragrance-free, and contains no parabens. This product was made with no animal testing.

To use, apply in the morning and evening to the face and chest after washing and exfoliating. (The bottle recommends Trader Joe’s Nourish All-In-One Facial Cleanser.)

I’ve been using this TJ’s moisturizer for a while now with no breakouts. True to advertising, it doesn’t have much of a smell and has no added fragrance. It goes on easy and effortlessly absorbs into the skin without leaving behind a greasy feeling. As far as I can tell, this works as well as the more expensive name-brand stuff. I’ll definitely be purchasing more when my current bottle runs out.

The Verdict:

Trader Joe’s Nourish Oil-Free Antioxidant Facial Moisturizer works as well as the name-brand Neutrogena oil-free moisturizer that I’ve used for years. It’s a fraction of the cost of my old name brand product, and it is fragrance free, contains no parabens, and was not tested on animals. If regular moisturizers make your face too greasy and cause pimple outbreaks, I highly recommend giving this oil-free option a try.
