Trader Joe’s “PB&C” Snack Duo

One of my favorite Trader Joe’s snacks is their “PB&J” Snack Duo, which features peanut butter wafer sticks and jelly to dip them in. It’s packaged in a plastic container with two sections — one for the wafer sticks and one for the dip. These snacks are great to pack in a lunch or take on a camping trip. They’re somewhat similar to name-brand Serendippity PB&J Stix snack packs, although a slightly better deal.

Recently, I saw another version: Trader Joe’s “PB&C” Snack Duo, which consists of chocolate wafer sticks and peanut butter to dip them in. Since I liked the peanut butter and jelly variety so much, I decided to get these cocoa ones.

These cost $3.99 at the time of writing. These have 6 servings per container, which comes out to about 67 cents per serving. They’re a product of Greece.

One serving is 1 pack. Per serving, there are 310 calories, 17 grams of total fat (22% DV), 7 grams of saturated fat (35% DV), 180 milligrams of sodium (8% DV), 32 grams of total carbohydrates (12% DV), 22 grams of total sugars, and 18 grams of added sugars (36% DV).

These were good, but to me not great. I didn’t like how thick the peanut butter was, so whenever I dipped the stick, there was a good chance of it breaking into two or more pieces that I would have to fish out. I didn’t much mind, though. As for the taste, it was fine, but I like the “PB&J” Snack Duo version better. The rest of my family liked these, and they would buy them again, so your mileage may vary.

The Verdict:

The Trader Joe’s “PB&C” Snack Duo consists of cocoa wafer sticks with peanut butter for dipping. They are fine, although I like the Trader Joe’s “PB&J” Snack Duo better, which consists of peanut butter wafer sticks with jelly for dipping. While I didn’t like this cocoa version a whole lot, the rest of my family did. If you like things such as peanut butter cups, you’ll probably like these more than I did.
