Aldi Corned Beef Reuben Bites
EDITOR’S NOTE: Updated for 2025.
Aldi sometimes sells novelty food items you didn’t even know you wanted to try until you saw them in the store. That’s the case with the corned beef Reuben bites the grocer occasionally stocks. These feature corned beef, sauerkraut, and provolone cheese in a “golden crust” with dipping sauce included.
While Aldi typically sells these around St. Patrick’s Day, I most recently spotted them in October of 2025. These used to be sold under the Cattlemen’s Ranch Aldi house brand, but as of 2025, they don’t list any particular brand or private label.
Corned Beef Reuben Bites are $7.99 for a 24-oz. package in 2025. That’s the same price they cost the first time I bought them in 2020.
These are an Aldi Find, which means they’re only in stores for a short time. Each store should receive one shipment, and after that sells out, they’re gone until whenever Aldi might decide to bring them back. Aldi does not offer online ordering if these are out of stock at your local store.
They’re obviously a highly processed food with a lengthy ingredient list. If you’re looking out for allergies, the bites contain milk and wheat, while the dipping sauce contains egg.
Aldi has tweaked the ingredients and nutrition facts since I first tried these in 2020. As of 2025, a three-bite serving (without dipping sauce) has 210 calories, 9 grams of total fat (12% DV), 1 gram of saturated fat (20% DV), 550 mg of sodium (4% DV), 23 grams of total carbohydrates (8% DV), 1 gram of dietary fiber (4% DV), 2 grams of total sugars, less than 1 gram of added sugars (2% DV), and 10 grams of protein.
A 1-tablespoon serving of the dipping sauce has 40 calories, 3.5 grams of total fat (4% DV), 0.5 grams of saturated fat (3% DV), 115 mg of sodium (5% DV), 8 grams of total carbohydrates (1% DV), no dietary fiber, 2 grams of total sugars, and 2 grams of added sugars (4% DV).

The Reuben Bites can be prepared from frozen in a conventional oven, convection oven, or air fryer.
To bake in a conventional oven, preheat the oven to 425 degrees and cook for 9-11 minutes on a baking sheet.
To prepare in a convection oven, preheat to 400 degrees and cook for 8-9 minutes.
To air fry, preheat to 400 degrees and cook for 6-7 minutes.
(Back when I first wrote about these, they also came with deep frying instructions. Preheat oil to 350 degrees and cook for 4-5 minutes.)
To prepare the dipping sauce, thaw the unopened pouch in warm water until the sauce is fluid.
I opted to heat our Reuben Bites in our air fryer. My family likes corned beef and cabbage, and they also liked the Reuben Bites. They’re a little like a Reuben sandwich-inspired version of chicken nuggets, and they look a lot like chicken nuggets from the outside. They have a satisfying crispy breading, especially when air fried.
These have definitely changed from the last time I tried them. When I reviewed these in 2020, the corned beef was the most prominent component of the filling, but Aldi has altered the recipe since then. As of 2025, the filling seems to be mostly cheese, and it’s quite soft and gooey.
Beef used to be listed as the first ingredient, but now it’s a little ways down in the ingredients list. Early on, we had a lot of readers complain that the Reuben bites were full of gristle. There is so little meat in them now that I don’t expect to see that complaint anymore. The fact that these contain less meat might account for the fact that these cost the same in 2025 as they did in 2020.
The dipping sauce is a thick Thousand Island dressing. In fact, the plastic pouch says “1000 Island Sauce.” The sauce is mostly smooth, with small bits of sweet relish. Its sweetness nicely complements the savory Reuben nuggets.
The Verdict:
Corned Beef Reuben Bites look like chicken nuggets and contain corned beef, provolone cheese, and sauerkraut. The filling is mostly cheese, though. The bites are good, and the included Thousand Island dipping sauce hits the spot as well. The package even has air fryer instructions, which we think is the best way to prepare these.

“F” grade for nutrition. Shame.
Best darn thing I have made in my air fryer yet…. I’m not buying my figure, I’m satisfying my appetite!
These are delicious! Not something you want to serve on a regular basis, but a satisfying special treat as an appetizer or party snack.
5 stars love them
Incredibly flavorless, insipid, bland, etc. Were it not for the bag’s label which I know by law cannot falsely identify the contents, we would have had no idea what it was we were eating, we certainly had no idea otherwise. .
I saw these advertised in the weekly ad and made a special trip to Aldi to get them. I love Ruebens and really wanted to like these, but I didn’t. I honestly can’t describe the taste, but it wasn’t Rueben. I can usually eat anything even if I don’t like it. These, I coulden’t finish the ones that I had air fried. I did like the sauce though. I see most of the folks that posted thought they were great, so maybe I got a bad batch.
Thought the taste was good, enjoyed first bite, then gristle and small pieces of bone. Going in the trash!
Bought these on several occasions, the last time they had gristle also! Very disappointed, won’t buy again!
These were horrible, poor quality, so much grissle and fat. Into the garbage!
I am not sure about the bad reviews. I tried these and they are delicious
I noticed more sauerkraut flavor when I tried mine after 5 minutes, but like you I needed extra time. Tried first batch 5 and then flip, 5 more, second batch 5 flip 7 more. Neither was really different.
I’m personally going to skip them, I love reubans, but the end product isn’t great as I can just make a reuban, but if you love pastrami and wanted it in a small bite, this is perfect.
Good review though.
I bought these and cooked them in the air fryer for 5 minutes on each side @ 375 and they were cooked perfectly. I used my own dipping sauce that is made from mayo, ketchup, and sriracha sauce, and they were excellent! I went back and bought 2 more bags since everyone in my family loved them!
I’m not a real picky eater. These are no better than McDonalds’ chicken nuggets. All I tasted was the crust.
Nicely done snack food. Needs more kraut and sauce. I eat them almost daily. I use my freezer at work to store them. The Lancaster ohio store did have lot of them. So I cleaned ed the Canal Winchester out.
you are waiting your money if you buy them they are full of grissel and are nasty I bought 2 bags of them one for me and one for my neighbor and we both had the same feelings about them no good nasty
These were gross. I threw the rest away after 2 bites. As others posted, there is bone and gristle. Not much of any saurkraut. Would never buy again.
I LOVED LOVED loved these and am searching for a way to get them, can’t wait till March!!
They were delicious. I wished I had bought more than one bag. Don’t know where to find them now.

Aldi hasn’t stocked these in a couple years and I found them this year! They are in a big box instead of a plastic bag. I was SO happy I bought 3 boxes which was $25 that was ok until l warmed some up and tasted them.
They were absolutely horrible. They changed the recipe. I would say 90% less corned beef. Mostly cheese and kraut. I cut one open when it was half thawed and there was just a few specks here and there of corned beef. RIP OFF!
Shame on Aldi for selling low quality crap! Lower the quality and you better lower the price!
Very disappointed! Out $25 The ingredients are way different than the bagged ones
We just tried the new recipe and they definitely have less beef compared to when we tried them several years ago.
I like reuben sandwiches and these were really good. Why just once a year! I want more!
I agree!!!!
Was excited to try this product but when I opened the box there was no dipping sauce so I have no idea how good it is, the bites themselves were ok but really wished I could have the whole experience.
Delicious! Bought once and now can’t find them! What the heck? Get me hooked on them then can’t buy them anywhere!!! Aldi Bring These Back!!! Please!!!
They’re what’s called an Aldi Find. That means a store only gets one shipment, and after that sells out, they’re gone, usually for at least several months, if not a year.
I tried the Reuben bites for the first time and thought they were good and did have the flavors of a Reuben sandwich. Reading other reviews maybe there is inconsistency between batches but the ones I had were filled with corned beef with cheese throughout and small shreds of sauerkraut around the edges. The thousand island dipping sauce was quite sweet but did go well with the bites. These are definitely not health food, and don’t claim to be, but a fun treat once in awhile.
