KIRKTON HOUSE Reversible Comforter + Royal Plush Blanket
EDITOR’S NOTE: This review is from 2017, when Aldi sold reversible comforters under its Huntington Home house brand. Aldi sold reversible comforters again in July of 2025 for $14.99, in twin/XL twin and full/queen sizes, under its newer KIRKTON HOUSE house brand. Colors and designs in 2025 are different from what’s in our review here. See our update at the end of this post about how our eight-year-old Aldi comforter has held up over time.
Aldi offers all kinds of ways to deck out a twin bed during late summer and early fall, when college students are looking to outfit their dorm rooms.
We don’t have college students in our house yet, thankfully. However, my tween-ish daughter has had the same quilt on her bed since she was 3 years old, and another blanket on her bed was passed down from her great-grandmother and is threadbare. It was time for a mini room makeover.
Aldi’s Huntington Home Reversible Microfiber Comforter and the Huntington Home Royal Plush Blanket were just the things to update my daughter’s room without spending a lot of money. The comforter was only $15 and the blanket was $10 in the summer of 2017. Hurrah!
Huntington Home Microfiber Reversible Comforter

The Huntington Home Reversible Microfiber Comforter (called the KIRKTON HOUSE Reversible Comforter in 2025) comes in twin or full sizes. My local store had no full sizes, and there were only a handful of twin sizes. These seem to sell quickly, so act fast when they show up in the store ad.
This comforter comes in various colors. Aldi is always tweaking and changing its products, but in 2017, Aldi sold one comforter that was a solid navy blue on one side and navy blue- and white-striped (it looked more gray in the store) on the other side. Another comforter was a solid seafoam green or mint color on one side, and the other side featured a swirled/floral/geometric shape pattern in seafoam green or mint and coral or orangey-pink colors. (Shown below.)

The twin comforter measures 64 inches by 86 inches, is made of 100% polyester, and is brushed for softness. It’s advertised as “easy care” and “machine washable.” Washing instructions say to machine wash cold separately on the gentle cycle. Use only non-chlorine bleach when needed. Tumble dry on low, and do not iron.
The comforter I purchased washed up fine and, most importantly, the filling did not clump. It’s soft, puffy-but-not-too-puffy, and appears to be pretty warm.
Huntington Home Royal Plush Blanket

I also bought the Huntington Home Royal Plush Blanket to layer under my daughter’s comforter and over her flat sheet. It’s a medium-weight/warmth blanket, and it’s only a single layer of fabric, compared to other similar blankets that might be double-layered.
The blanket comes in twin or full sizes. Aldi often makes minor changes to its products, but at the time of publication, the blanket comes in a solid seafoam green or mint color, solid navy blue, a red and white modern floral pattern, or a gray and white geometric triangle pattern. I opted for the seafoam green because it matches the green on the accompanying comforter.
This blanket is 100% polyester, machine washable, and very soft!
The Verdict:
You can’t beat Aldi’s price tags for the twin- and full-size Huntington Home or KIRKTON HOUSE Reversible Comforter and Huntington Home Royal Plush Blanket. Both wash well, look nice, and will provide warmth on cold nights. Recommended.
UPDATE (7/4/2025) — We’ve owned both the comforter and plush blanket for eight years now, and they’re still going strong. They both wash up well, with no pilling, clumping, tearing, or fading. These are solid choices if you’re looking for inexpensive bedding that will last.

I bought a comforter at Aldi fir my grandson’s room and I would like to know if I could get matching sheets and curtains from Huntington. It has space ships and planes on it.
I don’t think Aldi sold matching sheets and curtains for that comforter, and if they did, they won’t be around in stores for a while.
I went to get some candles and there was a full/Queen comforter for 7.50…it was the only one there or I would have bought for Christmas gifts… it’s perfect for my TV blankie in the Livingroom… I hope others can find one.. great price!!
