Emporium Selection Crumbled Feta Cheese
I recently made a flatbread pizza recipe that called for feta cheese. This white crumbly cheese has origins in Greece. It’s salty, tangy, and versatile. You often see it served atop salads, baked into various Greek pastries, or even sprinkled on some types of pasta.
To make my flatbread pizza, I picked up feta from Aldi. The discount grocer sells crumbled feta in two varieties: original and reduced fat. I bought the original version. The price sign in the store indicates it’s an Aldi Fan Favorite, although it doesn’t say what year it was voted a Fan Favorite.
Emporium Selection Crumbled Feta Cheese is a Regular Buy. That means you should be able to find it at Aldi all year.
We buy Aldi products with our own money to review. I paid $1.95 for a 4-ounce container at my local store in early 2025. That’s around 49 cents per ounce. A container has four 1-ounce servings, so it costs around 49 cents per serving.

If you’re looking out for allergens, this naturally contains milk.
The full ingredients list is pasteurized milk, salt, cheese culture, microbial enzymes, and potato starch (added to prevent caking).

A 1-ounce serving has 70 calories, 4 grams of total fat (5% DV), 2.5 grams of saturated fat (13% DV), 340 mg of sodium (15% DV), 2 grams of total carbohydrates (1% DV), no dietary fiber, 1 gram of total sugars, no added sugars, and 6 grams of protein.
I made flatbread pizzas with Aldi flatbread, alfredo sauce, diced cooked chicken, spinach, shredded mozzarella, and feta. (We also sprinkled sliced olives on one pizza.) The feta added a nice salty flavor to the pizza. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy it again any time I need feta for salads or other dishes.

The Verdict:
Emporium Selection Crumbled Feta Cheese is sold in original and reduced fat varieties. We used the original version on a flatbread pizza that turned out great. Aldi feta is versatile and good for whatever recipes you want to use it in.

Does the flatbread pizza also have chicken on it?
It does. Thanks for pointing that out. I’ve updated the review to add that it includes chicken. You can also find the full recipe for the flatbread pizza here: https://www.aldireviewer.com/specially-selected-stone-oven-baked-artisan-flatbread/
