Little Salad Bar Spinach
Aldi has a great selection of refrigerated pre-packaged lettuces, greens, and salad mixes that are washed and ready to serve. I regularly buy the artisan lettuce sold in a plastic clamshell package. Something else that frequently finds its way into my Aldi shopping cart is the bagged spinach.
I most often use bagged spinach from Aldi in salads, and it’s also good for adding to pasta dishes, various skillet entrees, or sprinkling atop pizza or flatbread. The package states it’s “great for salads or cooking.” I find that it lasts for a decent time in my fridge and is good to keep on hand.
The bagged spinach is sold under the Little Salad Bar brand. That’s not a company. Instead, it’s the name Aldi puts on many of its salad and deli products, which it sources from different suppliers.
Little Salad Bar Spinach is a Regular Buy, so you should be able to find it at Aldi all year. It’s stocked in the refrigerated produce section.
We buy Aldi products ourselves for review. I paid $1.55 for an 8-ounce package in early 2025 at my local store. That’s about 19 cents per ounce.
The only ingredient is spinach.
There are 2.5 two-cup servings per package. (We feel like we get a lot more than 2.5 servings out of this.) One serving has 25 calories, no fat, 65 mg of sodium (3% DV), 3 grams of total carbohydrates (1% DV), 2 grams of dietary fiber (7% DV), no sugars, and 2 grams of protein.
It is perishable and should be kept refrigerated. The bag states the salad has been thoroughly rinsed, gently dried, and packaged in a breathable bag for “maximum flavor.” The label recommends keeping the spinach refrigerated in its original bag and tightly closed (I often use a clip to keep it closed after opening) to retain freshness.

Here’s more info, according to the package:
- Washed and ready to enjoy
- Fresh and nutritious flat leaf spinach
- excellent source of vitamins C and K
- No preservatives
- Good source of potassium
The Verdict:
Little Salad Bar Spinach is sold in a large bag in the refrigerated produce aisle at Aldi. It’s economical, healthy, lasts a while in the fridge, and is great for salads or for whatever cooking projects you want to use it in.

I buy Little Salad Bar Spinach regularly. I’ve noticed that there are more stems and the stems are larger. I know the price of everything is going up. It seems that I’m getting the same weight but less spinach with more stems. What’s up!
Just bought this spinach at my local Aldis store on August 30th. The bag is dated 9/12/25 and 1/3 of the bag is rotten. Very disappointing!
Definitely take it back to Aldi for a refund/replacement.
