Trader Joe’s Chai Tea Mints and Green Tea Infused Mints
I drink multiple cups of tea a day, and I’m always interested in anything related to tea, whether it’s electric kettles or glass teapots.
That also goes for tea-flavored or tea-inspired foods. When I was recently getting into the checkout line at Trader Joe’s, which is a cousin to Aldi, I found some tea-infused leaf-shaped mints I couldn’t resist picking up. They come in two flavors: green tea or chai. I bought a container of both.
We buy products for review using our own funds. I paid $1.99 for each pack of mints. Trader Joe’s Chai Tea Mints are sold in a 1.2-ounce container, and Trader Joe’s Green Tea Infused Mints are sold in a 1.23-ounce container.
Ingredients in the chai tea mints are dextrose, maltodextrin, natural flavors, cardamom seeds, black tea, peppermint oil, and calcium stearate. The chai tea mints are vegan.
There are about 19 three-mint servings of the chai tea mints. One serving has 5 calories, 2 grams of total carbohydrates (1% DV), 2 grams of total sugars, and 2 grams of added sugars (4% DV).

Ingredients in the green tea infused mints are sugar, Japanese matcha green tea, natural flavors, stearic acid, calcium stearate, peppermint oil, honey granules, and green tea extract.
If you’re looking out for allergens, the green tea infused mints may contain milk and coconut.
There are about 18 three-mint servings of the green tea infused mints. One serving has 10 calories, 2 grams of total carbohydrates (1% DV), 2 grams of total sugars, and 2 grams of added sugars (4% DV).
I like these mints. The green tea ones have a mild mint flavor with definite notes of green tea. The chai mints are not minty. Instead, they have more of a cinnamon and spice flavor, which I really like.
The Verdict:
Trader Joe’s Chai Tea Mints and Trader Joe’s Green Tea Infused Mints are something different from your usual breath mints. They really do taste like chai and like minty green tea. If you enjoy tea, we recommend these.
