Aldi Debuts the Adventuridge Portable Kettle

This post is an open thread and contains affiliate links

People who know me well know that I love hot tea. I drink at least a cup or two a day, and I always start the morning out with tea. This is the case even when my family travels or goes camping. When we camp, we’ve got an old metal kettle and a portable camp stove so we can make hot water for tea.

If you want another way to make hot water away from home for tea — or coffee, hot cocoa, soup, pasta, etc. — Aldi is selling a portable kettle that plugs into your vehicle’s auxiliary power outlet, also known as your car’s cigarette lighter.

What We Know:

Adventuridge Portable Kettle

The Adventuridge Portable Kettle is an Aldi Find. That means it’s in stores for just a short time. Each store gets one shipment, and after that sells out, it’s gone. Aldi does not offer online ordering if this is out of stock at your local store.

This is scheduled to arrive at Aldi May 21st, 2025.

The Adventuridge Portable Kettle cost $24.99 in May of 2025. That’s in the lower range of prices for similar travel kettles on Amazon.

Aldi is also selling a portable coffee maker for $24.99 alongside this portable kettle. You heat water in the kettle, and then you pour the hot water into the coffee maker to make coffee.

Here’s more information on the portable kettle, according to Aldi:

  • Kettle features a 50.72-ounce capacity (approximately 1.5 liters)
  • Suitable for use in cars, boats, or while camping
  • Ideal for heating water, coffee, tea, soup, and more
  • Easy to use; simply plug into 12V socket

This is sold under the Adventuridge brand, which is not a company. Rather, it’s the name Aldi puts on its various outdoor products, which it sources from different suppliers.

What We Don’t Know:

We haven’t yet tried this portable kettle, so we don’t know how well it works or how durable it is. We write open threads like this to offer readers a place to discuss Aldi products.

  1. According to the “Troubleshooting” section of the manual included with the kettle, it takes 80-100 minutes for the kettle to bring water to boiling. Unfortunately, this is not mentioned anywhere on the outside of the box.

    1. We found that out also after purchasing – it will be going back – I will not be waiting over an hour for my water to heat for coffee or tea.

  2. Came here to say the same thing — 80-100 min time in fine print in the manual, this is deceptive advertising. Tried it with just 8oz of water, and after 10 minutes, water was warm to the touch but nowhere near boiling. So yes – expect over an hour for boiling, if it ever gets there.
