Ambiano Electric Can Opener Comes to Aldi

When I was growing up, we always had an electric can opener on the kitchen counter. It was useful for opening everything from veggies to Spaghettios. As an adult, I never got around to buying an electric can opener, instead relying on simple manual can openers.

However, if I want to buy an electric can opener, Aldi is selling one in the early summer of 2025. To the best of my knowledge, this might be the first time Aldi has sold an electric can opener.

What We Know:

The Ambiano Electric Can Opener is an Aldi Find, which means it’s in stores for a short time. Each store gets one shipment, and after that sells out, it’s gone unless Aldi decides to bring it back later. Aldi does not offer online ordering if this is out of stock at your local store.

This is scheduled to arrive in stores June 4th, 2025.

The can opener cost $14.99 in June of 2025. That’s on the lower range of prices compared to other electric can openers on Amazon.

The can opener appears to come in just one color: black with stainless steel or silver trim.

This is sold under the Ambiano brand. That’s not a company. Instead, it’s the name Aldi puts on certain household goods and kitchen products it sells, which it sources from various suppliers.

What We Don’t Know:

Aldi has not shared any details about this electric can opener, so we don’t know its dimensions, whether it comes with a warranty, or any other features. We also haven’t yet tried this can opener, so we don’t know how well it works or how durable it is. We write open threads like this one to give readers a place to talk about Aldi products.
