EDITOR’S NOTE: Updated for 2026.
Getting a comfortable night of sleep during warmer weather can be a tricky balance sometimes. You usually need at least a light blanket or sheet, at minimum, but you don’t necessarily want heavy comforters or anything that’s going to be too hot. (Unless you live with someone who really cranks the air conditioning.)
If lightweight bedding is something you’re in the market for, Aldi is selling cooling comforters, cooling throws, and cool-to-the-touch pillows and mattress pads during the week of June 17th, 2026.
Here, we’re taking a closer look at the cooling comforter.
What We Know:
The KIRKTON HOUSE Cooling Comforter is an Aldi Find. Each store should get one shipment, and after that sells out, it’s gone unless Aldi decides to bring it back next year. You can’t order this online from Aldi if it’s out of stock at your local store.
This is scheduled to arrive in stores June 17th, 2026.
The KIRKTON HOUSE Cooling Comforter cost $34.99 in 2026. That’s the same price Aldi sold it for in 2025. That’s less than most other cooling comforters on Amazon.
This comforter is available in king or queen sizes in 2026.
Here’s more information, according to Aldi:
- Available in white or gray
- Queen dimensions: 88″ x 92″
- King dimensions: 106″ x 92″
- Face: 77% nylon and 23% polyethylene
- Reverse/filling: 100% polyester
- Features cool-to-touch fabric and lofty fiber filling
- Machine washable
- Oeko-Tex Certified
This is sold under the KIRKTON HOUSE brand. That’s not a company. Rather, it’s the name Aldi puts on many of its home goods, which it sources from various suppliers.
What We Don’t Know:
We have not yet tried this cooling comforter, so we don’t know how effective it is or how long it lasts. We write open threads like this to give people a place to talk about Aldi products.

Just purchased today 6-18-25 the cooling comforter from Aldi. The outside layer has the cooling touch to it. The inside doesn’t. I have not washed it. So far, I like it (and the pets too). I’m curious how well it will last, how it will do with pet hair, and how it will wash.
I didn’t know they had this site. Very helpful
This site isn’t run by Aldi, just to be clear. We operate independently. Glad you found it useful!
I just purchased the Kirkton House cooling comforter in white. I’m so glad they had a king even though my bed is a queen. I always buy a king size so that it covers the whole bed. It gives a luxurious look to the bedroom. The top is the cooling side. I’m going to leave it that way tonight, then make a decision on whether to put the cooling side next to my body. This comforter is so soft and gorgeous I would buy it another color if I could find it. Red preferably.
I bought two of these today at 75% off only because I was literally standing in front of them while they were marked down. Beautiful! 9/1/25
