LIVE IN STYLE Small Cooler Bag

In my house we basically have three sizes of portable cold storage. On the small end, we’ve got the small insulated lunch bags we’ve amassed over the years from library reading programs and garage sales. They’re good for a sandwich box, a small water container, an apple, and maybe a freeze pack or two.
In the middle, we’ve got a couple of 30-quart Igloo 3-day coolers that are good for day trips and travel where we need a moderate amount of space. We can fit several sandwiches, drinks, and other assorted items in these.
And at the large end, we have an old Coleman 100-quart cooler, which takes up enough trunk space that we only use it for multi-day camping excursions where we need several days’ worth of food.
We’ve got a pretty good repertoire there. There’s just one problem: we’ve found over the years that we could benefit from having something between our small- and middle-sized coolers. We’d like having something we could put two or even three small lunches in without it taking up a large segment of our vehicle’s trunk. It wasn’t something I was quite ready to spend money on, but I thought it would be useful.
Naturally, Aldi sold something right in that space.
The LIVE IN STYLE Small Cooler Bag is an Aldi Find, meaning it’s only in stores for a short time. Once Aldi has sold out of them, you won’t be able to get them again until they come back, whenever that might be. Aldi doesn’t ship online, so if you can’t find it in stores, you’re out of luck.
In 2025, they came in four colors: black, color block, fruit, and summer print. We picked up black, paying for it with our own money and putting it through the paces.
We paid $9.99. That’s a lot less than comparably sized bags on Amazon.
The information doesn’t say where it came from, other than it was made in China. Keep in mind that LIVE IN STYLE is an Aldi private label, not a separate company.
The bag measures 10.4″ x 7.0″ x 9.8″. That comes out to a capacity of about 3.6 gallons, 14.4 quarts, or 14 liters. The inside has a removable inner hardliner, depending on whether you need an inside that is firm or more flexible. The main compartment has a double zipper, so it can be closed from either side.
On the outside, there is an adjustable shoulder strap, flexible cords on the top that can be adjusted, and a small side mesh pouch.
There’s also a small zippered pouch along the front.
I like this bag. At 14.4 quarts, it’s bigger than one might think. For me, it’s around 40% of the size of my hard cooler, making it a great in-between size for me. There’s enough room for some food, ice packs, and even a small water bottle or two. If I need a hair more space and am not as concerned about things getting squished inside, I can pull out the hardliner. It also seems to do the insulated job well enough for a soft cooler.
The side mesh and front pocket are of more limited use, but I could see them as places to put napkins, utensils, small trash bags, and other things that have a slimmer profile.
The Verdict:
The LIVE IN STYLE Cooler Bag is a low-cost option for when you need something between a single-person lunch bag and a large cooler. It’s got a solid 14.4 quarts of space — maybe a bit more if you take out the inner hardliner — and does the job keeping things cool for a while. I don’t know how durable it is, but for this price, it may well be worth taking a flyer on.
