Get Hooked on Pembrook Crochet Plushies

Small crochet craft kits have become popular in recent years. Specifically, The Woobles is an amigurumi crochet kit company that was founded in 2020 and was featured on Shark Tank in 2022. For $30, a Woobles kit has everything you need to make a small plush animal such as a fox or penguin. The company makes kits for beginners through intermediate-level crochet crafters.

You can now easily find knockoff kits in craft stores, big box stores, and online. In addition, Aldi is selling some limited-edition crochet plush craft kits.

What We Know:

Pembrook Crochet Plushies

Pembroo Crochet Plushies are Aldi Finds. That means each store should receive one shipment, and after that sells out, they’re gone unless Aldi decides to bring them back later. Aldi does not offer online ordering for these if they’re out of stock at your local store.

The crochet kits are scheduled to be available starting January 14th, while supplies last.

Pembrook Crochet Plushies

Pembrook Crochet Plushies cost $4.99 per kit in 2026. That’s cheaper than name-brand Woobles, and it’s also less than other brands on Amazon.

Each kit makes one of the following characters or animals:

  • Avocado
  • Cupcake
  • Dog
  • Highland Cow
  • Turtle

Here’s more information, according to Aldi:

  • Each kit contains yarn, stuffing, crochet hook, and darning needle to create a Crochet Plushie
  • Instructions included

The packages all state these are “advanced skill level,” so we’re not sure these would be appropriate for everyone. That is one difference from the name-brand Woobles, which do offer kits for beginners.

Pembrook Crochet Plushies

Pembrook is not a manufacturer or company. Rather, it’s the name Aldi puts on various craft and office supplies it sells, which it sources from different suppliers.

What We Don’t Know:

We haven’t yet gotten our hands on these crochet kits, so we don’t know how well they work or how good the instructions are. We write open threads to give readers a place to talk about Aldi products.

  1. I am a very experienced crocheter and I tried these last year with the pumpkin and the turtle. I would call them at least intermediate level. anyone with very little or no crochet experience will likely be very frustrated trying these.

  2. I just got the highland cow. The instructions are very confusing. I have crochet for years and I can follow patterns but this one not sure of. I’m frustrated. Thanks

    1. I am making the highland cow right now (admittedly I’m a beginner, but successfully made a woobles kit previously) and I am also very confused. At least one line has math that doesn’t add up (3 decreases = 6 fewer stitches??) and their instructions for the hair, the part I’m most unsure of, is just “use the plastic needle to stitch the hair”.

  3. My son bought the Avocado and it did not have the crochet hook or the darning needle. Does anyone know what size crochet hook he would need? Not sure where to look for an answer.

  4. I have the Highland Cow to Crochet. There seems to be a line missing to start the body there is no magic ring to get started in the instructions.
