Savoritz Nordic Sourdough Crackers

This winter, Aldi has introduced some new snack foods that are a bit healthier than your typical chips or crackers. My family has become instant fans of the sour cream & onion lentil loops as well as the lightly salted pea crisps.

Another new product I’ve heard good things about is the Nordic sourdough crackers. They are imported from Norway and come in two varieties: sea salt or jalapeno. I decided to pick up both to try at home.

Savoritz Nordic Sourdough Crackers are a Seasonal Product. That means Aldi stocks them for longer than an Aldi Find, but they’re not kept in stores all year. These are currently stocked during the winter months, from January until spring and summer items start hitting the shelves. If these are not in stock at your local store, you can’t order them online.

We buy Aldi products for review using our own funds. I paid $3.29 for each 4.58-ounce bag of crackers in 2026. That comes out to about 72 cents per ounce. There are four servings per package, which is around 82 cents per serving.

If you’re looking out for allergens, both varieties may contain wheat, milk, sesame, or almonds.

Oat sourdough bread is the first ingredient in both flavors, and it includes oat flour, whole grain rye flour, oats, oat bran, sunflower seeds, brown flax seeds, barley malt extract, whole grain barley flour, yeast, salt, and sourdough starter.

The sea salt crackers are seasoned simply with sea salt. The jalapeno crackers include tomato powder, chili pepper, garlic, jalapeno, natural flavor, and salt.

The sea salt crackers have 150 calories per 30-gram serving, along with 10 grams of total fat (13% DV), 1 gram of saturated fat (5% DV), 130 mg of sodium (6% DV), 16 grams of total carbohydrates (6% DV), 3 grams of dietary fiber (10% DV), no total sugars or added sugars, and 3 grams of protein.

The jalapeno crackers have 140 calories per 30-gram serving, along with 8 grams of total fat (11% DV), 0.5 grams of saturated fat (3% DV), 140 mg of sodium (6% DV), 17 grams of total carbohydrates (6% DV), 3 grams of dietary fiber (10% DV), less than 1 gram of total sugars, no added sugars, and 3 grams of protein.

These both have good carbs-to-fiber ratios, with the sea salt crackers having a 5.3:1 ratio, while the jalapeno crackers have a 5.67:1 ratio.

These offer a nice crunch and we like them. The sea salt ones are lightly salted and are fine on their own or served with cheese, tuna salad, or whatever else you’d like to serve them with. I think the jalapeno crackers have very good seasoning, with a mild kick, they’re my favorite of the two varieties. The jalapeno crackers would also go well with meat, cheese, chicken or tuna salad, and other cracker accompaniments.

I’ll be buying the jalapeno crackers again for sure, and I’ll probably get the sea salt crackers for family members who want a milder-tasting cracker.

The Verdict:

Savoritz Nordic Sourdough Crackers are products of Norway and feature oat sourdough bread as the first ingredient. These are thick, crispy crackers that are good on their own or served with tuna or chicken salad or charcuterie fixings. We especially like the jalapeno ones, which are well seasoned but not overly spicy.
