Trader Joe’s Ranch Rolled Corn Tortilla Chips

For several years, the top product at Trader Joe’s has been the chili lime rolled corn tortilla chips. They were consistently named the overall Customer Choice Award winner before eventually being added to the Trader Joe’s Product Hall of Fame.

While browsing recently at Trader Joe’s, which is a cousin to Aldi, I noticed a new flavor of rolled corn tortilla chips. TJ’s is now selling ranch-flavored rolled corn tortilla chips. I’ve always found the original chili lime version to be a bit too spicy for my tastes, so I was happy to see another flavor option.

The bag states:

Trader Joe’s Rolled Corn Tortilla Chips are legendary, so it was only a matter of time before we branched out — and Ranch-ed out! Like the original, these little scrolls are made from corn masa that is cut, rolled, and fried to a captivating crunchiness. They’re generously duseted with a buttermilk-based seasoning that’s further en-ranched with zesty notes of onion, parsley, and garlic. It’s a massive ava-ranch of savory, herby, tangy flavor … Dude, Ranch!

How They Taste:

I definitely like these better than their spicy counterparts. They have a good ranch flavor. They’re fairly hard and crunchy, just like the chili lime ones. They’re good on their own, but they’d also be good with ranch dip or other dips.

The Verdict:

Trader Joe’s Ranch Rolled Corn Tortilla Chips are a new twist on the fan-favorite chili lime rolled corn tortilla chips at Trader Joe’s. These feature the same type of rolled chips, but with a zesty ranch seasoning rather than spicy seasoning. If you find the original chili lime chips to be too spicy, give these mild ones a try.
