Adventuridge Lightweight Foldable Duffle Bag

Aldi runs a nonstop parade of Adventuridge camping products in the late spring and early summer, from tents to bags. In the second category are a pair of foldable products: a foldable backpack and this product, a foldable duffle.

The Adventuridge Lightweight Foldable Duffle Bag is what the name says it is. It’s a duffle bag that can be folded into a compact pouch:

The duffle is easy enough to unpack, and not too hard to repack back into its compact position, although it took a bit more time for us to figure this one out compared to folding the Adventuridge Lightweight Foldable Backpack. Even so, with a bit of practice it’s not hard to fold this one, even with no real instructions included on how to do it.

It has a few small features worth mentioning. The unpacked duffle has a side pocket (which also is where it folds back into), a zippered main compartment, two carry handles that can be brought together with a velcro binding, and a shoulder strap, attached with clips, that includes a shoulder pad. There are also mesh pockets on each end of the duffle, although they are small.

Fully unfolded, the duffle measures about 20.8 inches long (roughly 1 foot, 9 inches), 9.4 inches wide, and about 10.8 inches tall. It is indeed lightweight, weighing 0.6 pounds. That makes it a decent, if not large, duffle bag. We wouldn’t want to load it it down anyway; although it’s made of nylon, it’s pretty thin fabric — almost translucent — and we’re not sure it would hold up well under a lot of weight. Our kids have used the bag for trips when they’ve been gone for several nights, and it works fine for those times.

The Verdict:

We like it better than the disappointing¬†Adventuridge Lightweight Foldable Backpack, but know going into it that this isn’t a heavy-duty duffle, although it also is capable of folding into something small enough to stuff into a larger purse. If that’s the kind of bag you’re looking for, this might be worth your time.
