Aldi Announces Last Day for Aldi Insiders Facebook Group

In October of 2021, Aldi launched its own Facebook fan group page called Aldi Insiders. There are multiple Aldi-themed groups on Facebook, with Aldi Insiders being the only one that’s endorsed by and managed by Aldi. These groups — which can come and go — are places where Aldi shoppers can post photos of their favorite products, ask questions about products, get feedback from other shoppers, share recipes using Aldi ingredients, and talk all things Aldi with other Aldi fans.
Of course, what set the Aldi Insiders Facebook group apart from all other Aldi fan pages on Facebook is that it was run by Aldi itself. Aldi moderated posts and comments. Aldi USA also would occasionally make posts of its own on the group. In contrast, other Aldi-themed Facebook groups are managed and moderated by Aldi fans, not by Aldi.
When is the Aldi Insiders Facebook Group’s Last Day?
On February 24th, 2025, Aldi USA announced on the Aldi Insiders Facebook page that February 26th, 2025, would be the last day for the Aldi Insiders group. You can read the full announcement in the screenshot below, taken from the Aldi Insiders Facebook group post.

The post states:
Hey @Everyone! Announcement time: Wednesday, February 26th will be the ALDI Insiders Facebook Group’s last day. Be sure you’re following our official Facebook Page, Instagram, TikTok and Threads for upcoming product launches and brand moments you won’t want to miss this year!
And if this news gives you all the feels like it gives us, have no fear. There is another amazing group already sharing the latest and greatest ALDI Finds, incredible homemade recipes, and fab product reviews over on the ALDI Aisle of Shame Community.
If you prefer the close-knit community vibes of this group, those exist, too! Actually, let’s use the comment section to amplify those local communities.
If you are in or start an ALDI Facebook Group for your city or state, share a link in the comments below so your community can find you. If you don’t see a group for your state, maybe this is the sign you needed to start one.
The post resulted in a number of comments from Aldi shoppers. One person asked why Aldi will no longer operate the Facebook group. Aldi gave the following response:

In response to the question of why, Aldi stated:
Hey, we’ll be frank, there’s no one big reason why. Ultimately we know there are already so many ALDI groups existing in authentic ways that we’re not involved in, that we believe we can better serve you all on our other channels. And hey, we’re not going anywhere! From our social channels to our stores (did we mention we’re opening another 800+ this year?!), you know where to find us.
Where to Find Aldi Online Now:
The Aldi Insiders group ran for three years and a few months, and now its time is ending. Aldi will still operate its official Aldi USA Facebook page. The main difference is that Aldi’s official Facebook page consists only of posts by Aldi, with no ability for fans or customers to create their own posts. You can, however, comment on Aldi’s posts on its Facebook page.
You can also find Aldi on its official Instagram, TikTok, and Threads accounts on social media. And, of course, there is always the official Aldi USA website, which was redesigned (not for the better, in our opinion) in December of 2024.
If you still prefer the fan-oriented experience of posting and engaging with other fans’ posts, there also are many national and local Aldi fan Facebook groups that are not managed by Aldi.
And don’t forget that you can get the scoop on everything Aldi-related here at Aldi Reviewer.
