Aldi Introduces Ambiano Handheld Mini Iron

I bought a traditional iron from Aldi back in 2017, in the early days of writing for Aldi Reviewer. It was a competent iron that lasted my family for five to seven years before I finally replaced it with one from a big box retailer.
So I was curious when I saw Aldi advertising another different type of iron in its latest weekly ad. This time, it’s a handheld mini iron that looks good for travel or any time you need to smooth the wrinkles out of your clothing.
What We Know:
The Ambiano Handheld Mini Iron is an Aldi Find, which means it’s in stores for a short time only. Each store should get one shipment, and after that sells out, it’s gone unless Aldi decides to bring it back later. Aldi does not offer online ordering if this is out of stock at your local store.
This is scheduled to arrive in Aldi stores September 10th, 2025.
The Ambiano Handheld Mini Iron cost $9.99 in 2025. That’s cheaper than most other mini irons I found on Amazon.
Here’s more information, according to Aldi:
- Features a nonstick sole plate
- Offers continuous steam
- Features variable temperatures
This is sold under the Ambiano brand, which is not a company. Rather, it’s the name Aldi puts on various household goods, which it sources from different suppliers.
What We Don’t Know:
We haven’t yet tried this handheld mini iron, so we don’t know how well it works or how long it lasts. Also, Aldi has not yet published information about whether this comes with a warranty. We write open threads like this one to give readers a place to talk about Aldi products.

I bought this iron and just returned it. It does not get very hot, which I need for quilting. Also, I didn’t like it because it has a non-stick soleplate. It seemed to drag when using it, not something I like for an iron. Others may like the finish, not me, stainless steel doesn’t drag on the fabric like this so-called nonstick. Stainless steel doesn’t scratch either.
Thanks for the info!
