Aldi Introduces Rugs Featuring Pottery Barn Dupe Sculpted Reindeer

In 2022, Aldi decided to sell copycat Pottery Barn sculpted reindeer figures. These elegant metal decorative pieces feature reindeer with large, eye-catching antlers. They make for a gorgeous display on a mantel, shelf, tabletop, or wherever you want to add some classy holiday decor.
Those sculpted reindeer, which cost a fraction compared to their pricey Pottery Barn counterparts, were immediately popular among Aldi shoppers. Our review of the reindeer we bought became our most-viewed post of the holiday season. The reindeer were just as big of a hit when Aldi brought them back in 2023.
We don’t know yet whether Aldi will bring the reindeer figures back for the 2024 Christmas season. (My guess is that Aldi probably will bring them back; I just don’t know when.)
However, Aldi is selling small rugs this year that feature that telltale sculpted reindeer silhouette. So, if you want to add to your reindeer collection, now is the time. This rug is just the right size to display outside your front door.
What We Know:
The Merry Moments 18″ x 30″ Holiday Artisan Accent Rug (Product Code: 702010) is an Aldi Find. That means it’s only in stores for a short time. Each store gets one shipment, and after that sells out, it’s gone unless Aldi decides to bring it back next year. Aldi does not offer online ordering for this if it’s sold out at your area store.
This is scheduled to arrive in stores November 6th, 2024. (The same day that Advent calendars hit the shelves.)
The Merry Moments reindeer rug cost $7.99 at the time of publication. I can’t find any identical rugs either from Pottery Barn or elsewhere online. However, the Aldi price is competitive compared to other styles of reindeer rugs I found on Amazon.
The rug comes in a few other prints as well, including gnomes, snowflakes, and nutcrackers. It was the reindeer print that immediately caught our attention, though. We don’t expect the reindeer rug to last long on store shelves.

This is sold under the Merry Moments brand. That’s not a company. Rather, it’s the name Aldi puts on various Christmas products it sells, which it may source from different suppliers.
What We Don’t Know:
We haven’t yet tried this rug, since it hasn’t arrived in stores yet. We don’t know how thick, thin, hard, or soft it is, or how it holds up to foot traffic. We write open threads to give our readers a place to learn more and talk about Aldi products.
