Huntington Home Queen Sheet Set + Royal Plush Blanket

Last Updated on September 14, 2017

When a cheap big box store sheet set I purchased a few years ago literally started ripping apart on my bed because it was so worn, I replaced it with Aldi’s Special Buy (ALDI Find) Huntington Home 300 Thread Count Queen Sheet Set. I also purchased a Special Buy (ALDI Find) Huntington Home Royal Plush Blanket in a full/queen size to replace another worn blanket on my bed. I figured I couldn’t go wrong buying bedding from Aldi because I recently purchased a similar twin-sized Royal Plush Blanket from Aldi for my daughter’s bed, and we’ve been happy with it. So how does the new bedding rate?

These sheets come in a few neutral colors, are available in queen or king sizes, and include one flat sheet, one fitted sheet, and two pillowcases. I purchased the queen size, and its flat sheet measures 90 inches by 90 inches, while the fitted sheet is 60 inches by 80 inches, and the pillowcases are 20 inches by 30 inches. The sheets are 100% cotton sateen, and they advertise they are wrinkle free out of the dryer, but I don’t know how many people care about wrinkle-free sheets when they’re just going to be covered with other blankets on the bed. The sheets fit mattresses up to 18 inches deep and are made in India. The manufacturer recommends washing with warm water on the gentle cycle and tumbling dry on low heat.

The sheets have an OEKO-TEX Confidence in Textiles STANDARD 100 seal on the package indicating they have been tested for harmful substances.

The sheets seem fairly standard for 300 thread count: soft but not necessarily luxurious, and perfectly fine for most people’s beds. They did have an unpleasant smell when I first opened the package, but they seem okay after putting them through the washing machine. The fitted sheet is large on my mattress, which is only about 10 to 11 inches deep, but it is staying on fine and not sliding off. The flat sheet drapes nicely over the entire bed and doesn’t seem skimpy.

This blanket also comes in assorted neutral colors and is available in full/queen or king sizes. I purchased the full/queen size, which measures 90 inches by 90 inches. It is 100% polyester and advertises as being “easy care” and “luxuriously soft and warm.” The blanket is made in China, and the manufacturer recommends washing in cold water and tumbling dry on low heat.

The blanket has an OEKO-TEX Confidence in Textiles STANDARD 100 seal on the package indicating it has been tested for harmful substances.

This blanket is a single layer of material, unlike other similar blankets I’ve seen that have two layers of fabric. True to the advertising, this blanket is soft, and I’m looking forward to using it on coming cool fall and winter nights. It drapes nicely over the bed, with plenty of covers for two people. The only downside is that it is so soft that it is a little slippery and doesn’t always stay in place among all the other bed coverings, and I sometimes have to tug on it a bit to re-center it on the bed during the night.

The Verdict:

Aldi’s Huntington Home 300 Thread Count Sheet Set is perfectly serviceable. The fitted sheet fits mattresses up to 18 inches deep, but it also stays on my 10- to 11-inch mattress fine. The Huntington Home Royal Plush Blanket is soft and will be comfortable on cool nights, but it does slide around on the bed some because it is so soft.

  1. Bought a flannel plaid king size sheet set and the product feels very nice but the set had 2 flat sheets and no fitted sheet. Wasn’t able to return it because i lost the receipt and it was the last set they had. Tried to use it anyway cause it felt so comfy but was disappointed because the flat sheet would not stay in place. Wish there was something the company could do like send me a fitted sheet that matches.

    • I bought the Huntington velvet plush sheet set and the matching comforter. I just love them. I wanted to buy more but can not find Huntington brand anywhere. I really hope they come back this year. I will buy 3-5 of them the sheet set that is. 1 or 2 more comforters. I bought a velvet plush sheet set from amazon and they are nothing like the Huntington ones. See what happen was I messed up and got the king size and I needed the queen and the king fitted sheet keeps coming off.

  2. Just bought a royal plush blanket. It is super soft and comfy. I love it. I’ve been looking for a nice king size blanket for a reasonable price and I found it!

  3. I bought a sheet set from Aldi, and I absolutely love it. I’d like to get more, but they don’t have anymore nor do they order more. They need a link to where someone can order their items.

  4. We purchased Huntington Home Bedroom Fleece Set at Aldi’s and we just love it. We can’t find them anywhere and can’t understand why because they are the best ever. Please let me know if and where you can purchase them

    • I agree that Aldi sells great sheets and bedding. The Huntington Home product line is only available in a limited supply at Aldi a few times a year and is not sold anywhere else, and once the products are gone, they’re gone … until next time. Keep an eye on the weekly ads and they’ll eventually return to stores. Often Aldi sells sheets and blankets in the late summer when people are buying items for college dorm rooms, but that is not the only time of year the store sells those kind of items.
