Open Thread: Easy Home Home Security Assortment + Lightway Outdoor LED Security Light

EDITOR’S NOTE: Aldi sold a home security assortment again in December of 2021 for $8.99 each, $1 more than in 2019. 

The past couple of years in the fall, Aldi has sold a range of home security and safety products, including name brands such as First Alert security chests and Kidde fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, and carbon monoxide detectors.

Aldi also sells additional home security products under its Easy Home and Lightway private labels, including:

• decoy security dome cameras
• door stop alarms
• door and window alarms
• wireless doorbells
• outdoor LED security lights

What We Know:

The Easy Home Home Security Assortment (product code 13525) costs $7.99 each in 2019, and you can choose a Decoy Security Dome Camera, Door Stop Alarm, Door or Window Alarm, or Wireless Doorbell.

The Lightway Outdoor LED Security Light (product code 53620) costs $29.99 each and comes in black or white.

These are Aldi Finds, which means they’re only in stores for a short time. Aldi in the U.S. does not offer online ordering after specials sell out at your local store.

Aldi sold a similar home security assortment for $6.99 each and an outdoor security light for $19.99 in 2018. In 2017, Aldi sold just the Door Stop Alarm and a 2-Pack Door or Window Alarm for $7.99 each and an outdoor LED light for $24.99.

• 2500 Lumens
• Adjustable 180° motion sensor
• Detects motion up to 50′ away
• LED adjustable lamp up to 180°
• Adjustable light timer from 30, 60 and 120 seconds
• Adjustable motion sensor
• Black or White

We haven’t tried any of these products, so we don’t know how well they work. We also don’t know who makes these products or if any of these come with a warranty.
