Serra Ladies’ Warm Lined Sneakers

We’ve reviewed a fair share of shoes from Aldi. While many of the shoes we’ve reviewed are athletic or hiking shoes, I own a few pairs of Aldi shoes that focus more on style. From wedge boots to formal heels, I’ve never had any downright bad experiences with these budget shoes. While none of them will compete with the likes of Nike or Adidas, they’ve stood the test of time nonetheless.
With winter and the holiday season approaching, Aldi is rolling out its never-ending supply of winter items. From holiday decor and kitchen ware, to toys, to, of course, apparel.
The Serra Ladies’ Warm Lined Sneakers are $14.99, and are an Aldi Find. This means every store gets one shipment, and once it’s sold out, they’re gone. You can’t order Aldi Finds online if they’re sold out at your local store.
I did a quick search to see what other brands sell fur-lined shoes like these and, as you can imagine, other brands tend to be more expensive, some more than others. Amazon seemed to have the best selection of fur-lined shoes for style. They ranged from $25 to $50 or more, depending on the brand. So while Aldi is still the cheapest, you could find shoes elsewhere within $10 of the Aldi price point.
The Aldi shoes come in two styles: gray sneakers or tan boots. As usual, sizing is limited, with both styles available in sizes 7-10. I normally wear an 8.5, but Aldi doesn’t do half sizes, so I’ve found sizing up is the best option. I got a 9 in the gray sneaker variety.
Straight out of the box, they made a good first impression. They slip on easily, and the laces are stretchy, with an almost elastic feel to them. The only thing I noticed was that while both shoes had the same number of eyes and loops for the laces, the number of laces before and after the little tab on the tongue was uneven. If you unlace and relace them, it’ll probably fix it, but even if you don’t, it didn’t cause any problems for me wearing them.
I decided to go through a full day wearing these, and I had zero issues. The silver detailing on the heel creased instantly, but I hardly count that as a complaint. These were comfortable to wear and to walk in, and they wasn’t any pain with breaking them in.
They have a small platform on the bottom as well, which gives you a little height, and it adds style points.
Obviously, these are winter shoes, so they only work for half of the year for most people, but for the quality and price, I think they’re worth it.
The Verdict:
The Serra Ladies’ Warm Lined Sneakers are $14.99 and an Aldi Find. There’s not a whole lot to say about them, which is a good thing. I’m excited to add them to my winter gear collection, and while they’re not at the same level as their more expensive name-brand counterparts, they still hold their own.
This is an excellent review Megan! It was as though I was going through the motions with you looking at and wearing the shoes. Gray is the neutral that can compliment any outfit. They look really good on you too!
As someone who wears size 5-6, I tried on a child’s size 2-3 boot and found they fit. Other small-footed women might want to look into trying that. You have to be on the lookout for more “grownup”-looking styles, unless you like hot pink sparkly footwear.
