Having a comfortable spaces to hang out outdoors or semi-outdoors is a high priority among my family. We have a two-person glider on our porch, a collection of Adirondack chairs around our fire pit, a two-person swing and a dining table with umbrella and chairs on our back patio, and a sunroom with a loveseat, armchairs, and coffee table. We’ve purchased a lot of that outdoor furniture from Aldi over the years, and we’ve been satisfied with the quality and durability of most of those products.
This past week, while browsing the middle aisle at Aldi, I noticed a rattan chair with stowable ottoman that I was pretty sure I hadn’t seen in any recent Aldi ads. When Aldi releases products without advertising them, we at Aldi Reviewer tend to refer to it as “stealth releasing.” Aldi did this quite a bit back in 2021 when supply chains were uncertain. It rarely seems to happen these days, but this chair and ottoman set seem to be an exception.
What We Know:
The Belavi Rattan Chair with Stowable Ottoman is an Aldi Find, so it’s only in stores for a short time. Each store receives one shipment, and after that sells out, it’s gone unless Aldi decides to bring it back later. Aldi does not offer online ordering for products that are not in stock at your local store.
This cost $49.99 at the time of publication. You might not have an easy time finding an outdoor chair and ottoman set like this for less money on Amazon.
This set features a rattan armchair with a metal frame and a white or cream-colored removable seat cushion, along with a rattan ottoman with a metal frame and also with a matching removable cushion on top. When you aren’t using the ottoman, it conveniently tucks under the chair for storage.

Here’s more information, according to the package:
- Chair maximum weight capacity: 353 lbs.
- Ottoman maximum weight capacity: 176 lbs.
- Chair dimensions: 26.7″ D x 25.9″ W x 30″ H
- Ottoman dimensions: 20″ D x 17.3″ W x 9.8″ H
- Cushioned are secured with elastic loops to prevent slipping
- Easily remove covers to machine wash

This is sold under the Belavi brand. There is no company called Belavi. Instead, that’s the name Aldi puts on many of its outdoor products, which it sources from various suppliers.
The box states this was made for TDC USA, Inc. Their website states they are “a family-owned trading company with more than 25 years of experience in sourcing, importing, and distributing goods.” They specialize in non-food seasonal products sold only at grocery store chains, and their website features products we’ve seen at Aldi, including gazebos with netting as well as Gardenline String Lights and replacement netting and canopies for various Aldi gazebos, pergolas, and grill gazebos.
What We Don’t Know:
We haven’t tried this chair, so we don’t know how easily it assembles, how comfortable it is, or how durable it is. Also, Aldi has not published information yet about whether this chair and ottoman come with a warranty. We write open threads to give readers a place to discuss Aldi products.
