Simply Nature Organic Chicken Noodle Soup
EDITOR’S NOTE: We reviewed this in December of 2024. Aldi sold the same soup again in early January of 2026 and mid-February of 2026 for $2.29 for 18.6 ounces.
I always try to keep a supply of canned goods in the house, ranging from various veggies and fruit to soup and chowder. They keep on the shelves for a long time and are useful during camping trips, power outages, or any time I need to fix a side dish or a meal quickly.
With soup season upon us, I picked up several different canned soups at Aldi the other week. The options included chicken noodle soup and tomato basil soup.
Here, I’m taking a closer look at the ultimate comfort food: chicken noodle soup.
Simply Nature Organic Chicken Noodle Soup is an Aldi Find as of 2026. That means each store should get one shipment, and after that sells out, it’s gone. Back when we first tried this in 2024, it was a Seasonal Item that got restocked a few times during the fall and winter months. Whether it’s an Aldi Find or Seasonal Item, Aldi does not offer online ordering if this is out of stock at your local store.
We bought this ourselves for review. I paid $2.25 for an 18.6-ounce can at my local store in 2024. As of 2026, it’s $2.29 for 18.6 ounces. That comes out to about 12 cents per ounce. The can has about two 1-cup servings, so that’s around $1.15 per serving.
This is a product of Canada. It is non-GMO, and it’s USDA organic and was certified organic by Ecocert Canada.

If you’re looking out for allergens, this contains wheat and eggs.
Ingredients-wise, this looks better than some other canned soups I’ve had. It also has less sodium than the non-organic Chef’s Cupboard Chicken Noodle Soup Aldi also sells.
One 1-cup serving has 80 calories, 1.5 grams of total fat (2% DV), no saturated fat, 700 mg of sodium (31% DV), 12 grams of total carbohydrates (4% DV), less than 1 gram of dietary fiber (3% DV), 2 grams of total sugars, no added sugars, and 5 grams of protein.

The can has directions for heating the soup on the stovetop or in the microwave. Directions are straightforward. To heat on the stove, empty the can’s contents into a saucepan and heat, stirring often. To microwave, empty the can’s contents into a microwave-safe bowl. Loosely cover and microwave “several minutes,” stirring once. Refrigerate any unused portions immediately.

I’m not always a big fan of canned soups, but this one is actually good. It has plenty of big noodles, and I like the generous amount of large carrot slices. (If you don’t like carrots, you probably won’t like this soup.) There are a few chicken chunks, and the broth has a mild flavor. I’ll be buying a few cans of this to stock my pantry for the coming winter months.
The Verdict:
Simply Nature Organic Chicken Noodle Soup features large noodles, plenty of thinly sliced carrots, and some chicken chunks all in a mild-flavored broth. It’s one of our favorite canned chicken noodle soups and worth stocking up on.

Either the idea of what Chicken Noodle Soup is has changed over the years or for this senior it is because my mother wasn’t “into” cooking . But. . . for me Chicken Noodle Soup was canned and just that — Chicken and Noodles in chicken broth with no carrots etc.
I tried the Aldi Chicken Noodle Soup as an alternative to making soup from scratch. It was a nice mild flavor, not too processed tasting as can soups usually are. In fact the flavor was almost too mild and could have used a little bouillon to it to increase the chicken flavoring. My only other quip was I like more noodles in my soup. Aside from that it is a great substitute in a pinch and I would use it again.
