Set Up a Child-Sized Gym with Crane Foam Climbing Blocks

Last year, Aldi introduced a limited-edition balance beam and tumbling mat for kids. The pieces were popular and sold out almost as soon as they were set on store shelves.

This year, Aldi is bringing back the beam and mat, along with a few other pieces similar to what you might see in a children’s tumbling class. They include a small trampoline, plastic stepping stones, a foam pit with balls, foam stacking blocks, and foam climbing blocks.

I’m taking a closer look here at the foam climbing blocks.

What We Know:

The Crane Foam Climbing Blocks are Aldi Finds. That means they’re only in stores for a short time. Each store should get one shipment, and after that sells out, they’re gone unless Aldi decides to sell them again next year. Aldi does not offer online ordering for these if they’re not in stock at your local store.

These are scheduled to be available February 25th, 2026, while supplies last.

The Crane Foam Climbing Blocks cost $32.99 per set in 2026. That’s less than a lot of other sets on Amazon.

These come in two different block designs: a Step ‘n Ramp set (pictured above) and a Wavy Ramp set (pictured below). Everything comes in your choice of blue or pink hues.

Each set includes three pieces. They all have machine-washable covers. The online Aldi ad states that these expand when opened, so I’m guessing they’re packaged in a way that compresses them, and they fill out after you open them. The Aldi ad also states these are for ages 12 months and older.

These are sold under the Crane brand, which is not a manufacturer. Instead, Crane is the private label Aldi puts on various sports and exercise gear it sells, which it sources from different suppliers.

What We Don’t Know:

We haven’t yet tried these climbing blocks, so we don’t know how durable they are or how well they work. Additionally, Aldi has not yet published the dimensions for these climbing blocks, so we won’t know their sizes until they actually show up in local stores. We write open threads to offer a space where readers can talk about Aldi products.
