Aldi is Selling Whimsical SOHL Furniture Kids Character Arm Chairs

In the late summer, Aldi begins to roll out an array of back-to-school items, from dorm furniture, bedding, and accessories to school backpacks and lunch bags. The discount grocer also sells some fun accessories to help decorate kids’ bedrooms, perhaps to help create cozy studying and reading spaces for the academic year. Among the options this year are some cute animal-themed arm chairs for kids.

What We Know:

SOHL Furniture Kids’ Arm Chairs (product code 12540) sold for $24.99 in September of 2024. That’s the same price they sold for in 2022 and 2023. It’s $5 higher than what they sold for in 2019, 2020, and 2021.

The arm chairs are an Aldi Find, which means they’re only in stores for a short time. Each store gets a single shipment, and after that sells out, they aren’t restocked until next year. Aldi does not offer online ordering for its specials after they sell out at your local store, so if you want a chair, don’t delay.

Here’s more information about the 2024 chairs:

• Available in Shark, Unicorn, Koala, or Bear designs
• Recommended for ages 3 and up
• Advertised as ultra soft and comfortable.
• Claims to be durable and cozy
• Dimensions: 19″ L x 16″ W x 19″ H (in 2021, it measured 19″ x 17″ x 20.5″)

These are sold under the SOHL Furniture brand. That’s an Aldi house brand and not a company. In other words, SOHL Furniture is a name Aldi puts on the furniture it sells to give it a uniform look. Aldi may source that furniture from multiple suppliers.

What We Don’t Know:

We haven’t gotten our hands on one of these chairs yet, so we don’t know how well they hold up or how comfortable they are to sit in. Our goal with posts such as this is to offer a space for readers to share about their own experiences with a product.
