Aldi Spring Barissimo Coffee Flavors Include Wild Blueberry Crumble and Honey Lavender

Blueberry baked goods are a longtime breakfast or brunch staple. It can be a treat to enjoy a blueberry muffin with a cup of hot coffee or tea in the morning. Or, some blueberry crisp can hit the spot if you’re wanting a sweet snack.

But how about a coffee that incorporates the flavors of your favorite blueberry desserts? Aldi is selling just such a coffee flavor as a limited-time special.

The discount grocer is also selling honey lavender coffee at the same time, if you’re wanting something novel.

Barissimo Wild Blueberry Crumble Ground Coffee and Barissimo Honey Lavender Ground Coffee are Aldi Finds. That means stores get just one shipment, and after that sells out, they’re gone and you won’t be able to order them online.

These are scheduled to arrive at Aldi on March 20th, 2024.

Barissimo Wild Blueberry Crumble Ground Coffee and Barissimo Honey Lavender Ground Coffee cost $4.29 for a 12-ounce package at the time of publication. That comes out to about 36 cents per ounce.

For comparison, an 11-ounce package of Blueberry Cobbler New England Coffee cost about 81 cents per ounce at Walmart at the time of writing. A 12-ounce package of Green Mountain Wild Blueberry Coffee cost about 96 cents per ounce on sale at Walmart at the time of writing. That makes the Aldi coffees look like a good deal.

These Aldi coffees are Rainforest Alliance certified, indicating sustainable production methods. They are naturally and artificially flavored.

Sometimes Aldi sells these coffee flavors in cup forms that are compatible with Keurig-style brewers. This time around, though, they appear to only be available as grounds for brewing in a more traditional coffee maker.

These are sold under the Barissimo brand, which is not a company but rather is the private label Aldi uses for various coffee products.

The packages have directions for brewing these coffees. Use cold water and add 2 rounded tablespoons of coffee per every 6 ounces of water.

For a cold brew, combine 1 cup of ground coffee with 4 cups of cold water in an airtight jar. Steep for 12-24 hours. Strain the coffee grounds through a cheesecloth or use a French press to filter. Add additional cold water to the cold brew to desired strength. Enjoy black, or add milk and sugar to taste.

For iced coffee, brew coffee double strength by using 4 rounded tablespoons of coffee per every 6 ounces of cold water. Let cool and pour over ice. Enjoy black, or add milk and sugar to taste.

The package recommends storing your coffee grounds in an opaque, airtight container.
