Barissimo Frozen Frappe Blender Cubes

Aldi sells some delicious frappe mixes during the summer months that I love to indulge in. They’re refreshingly icy and smooth. However, I don’t often buy them because they have a lot of sugar.

Then, this week I spotted some new frozen frappe blender cubes in the Aldi Find freezer aisle. I almost walked right past them because I figured they’d also be loaded with sugar. I stopped to look at the ingredients list anyway. To my surprise, these blender cubes contain no added sugar. They also don’t contain any artificial sweeteners or sugar substitutes.

This product features 100% arabica dried coffee and mixed fruits, and it has a caramel & vanilla flavor. The bag states one serving contains approximately 1/3 of a cup of fruit.

I was definitely interested, so I dropped a package in my shopping cart.

Barissimo Frozen Frappe Blender Cubes are an Aldi Find. That means they’re only in stores for a short time. Each store should receive one shipment, and after that sells out, they’re gone until whenever Aldi might decide to bring them back. Aldi does not offer online ordering if these are out of stock at your local store.

I bought this myself and paid $5.69 for a 12-ounce package in October of 2025. That comes out to about 47 cents per ounce. There are four servings per package, which comes out to around $1.42 per serving.

This is a product of Belgium.

One serving, ready to enjoy.

I added one serving of frappe cubes to my Ninja blender (I recommend using a sturdy blender that can handle ice and frozen foods.) Then I added whole milk. I mixed this for one minute or less, which is less time than the instructions recommend, but my drink was thoroughly blended and smooth at that point. This had the icy consistency of a frappe you’d get at a coffee shop, and it was a bit frothy, too.

I wasn’t sure how this would taste. Would it be bitter due to the coffee? It’s actually sweet, but it’s a mild sweetness. I often think coffee drinks from cafes are too sweet, and this one is just right in my opinion. The caramel and vanilla notes are noticeable, and the coffee flavor is there, too, but it’s not too strong. There are also some tiny bits of fruit fiber, perhaps from the pineapple.

Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by this frappe mix, and I’d buy it again. I hope Aldi sells more mixes like this in the future.

The Verdict:

Barissimo Frozen Frappe Blender Cubes are caramel and vanilla flavored and contain no added sugars, artificial sweeteners, or sugar alternatives. It’s just fruit, coffee, soluble corn fiber, and natural flavors. Toss some cubes in a blender, add milk, mix, and you have a coffee shop-style drink that you can enjoy without guilt. These are a limited-time special at Aldi, so stock up while you can.
