Belavi Rope Effect Rattan Bench Coming to Aldi

This post is an open thread and contains affiliate links.

I love outdoor living spaces. Whether it’s a covered porch or a shady patio, or a screened sunroom, these are lovely spaces to sit and relax. It’s where I enjoy a cup of morning tea, or where I hang out and chat with friends.

During the warmer months, Aldi rotates furniture and accessories for these types of spaces into its middle aisle. I’ve most recently seen a rattan chair and ottoman, a string chair, and a bar cart.

Coming up soon, Aldi is selling a rope effect rattan bench. This two-person bench features a curved backrest and arm rests, with a rattan-style seat and a rope-like effect on the backrest.

What We Know:

Rope Effect Rattan Bench

The Belavi Rope Effect Rattan Bench is an Aldi Find. It’s only in stores for a short time. Each store gets one shipment, and after that sells out, it’s gone unless Aldi decides to bring it back next year. Aldi does not offer online ordering if this is out of stock at your local store.

This is scheduled to arrive in stores May 7th, 2025.

The bench cost $49.99 in 2025. That’s cheaper than similar benches on Amazon.

This is sold under the Belavi brand. There is no company called Belavi. Instead, that’s the name Aldi puts on various outdoor products it sells that it sources from different suppliers.

What We Don’t Know:

We haven’t yet purchased this bench, and Aldi has not yet published information about this bench’s dimensions, so we don’t know how big it is. We also don’t know how easy assembly is, or if this comes with a warranty. In the meantime, we write open threads like this one so readers have a place to talk about Aldi products and ask questions.

  1. We purchased this from Aldi yesterday. We are well-versed in furniture assembly.
Sweet Mother of Jesus would not have been able to help us assembly this bad boy. The screw holes were not properly aligned and if we could get them lined up the webbing was in the way of being able to get the allen wrench or our drill bit angled correctly to screw them in straight.
After many attempts, we gave up and had cocktails.
I returned it today. The manager asked what was wrong in particular. I explained after which she told me this was the 3rd one returned to their store.
We feel better. Not quite as defeated.

  2. This bench is horrendous to put together as nothing lined up, screw to holes so annoying and frustrating. Also I need to know urgent if it fire resistant or retardant???????? This is really important and I can’t find out the answer anywhere again so frustrating. I rang SUPPOSED TO BE CUSTOMER SUPPORT WHAT A JOKE THEY DIDNT UNDERSTAND WHAT I WAS ASKING,I explained it in many different ways and no they didn’t understand or know the answer TERRIBLE. They should have been able to understand what I was asking and have the answers available to find out. I shop every few days at Aldi and do most of my shopping there so obviously spending a lot of money so I expect better quality and service. Very unhappy customer
