Breakfast Best Heat-N-Serve Turkey Sausage Links

EDITOR’S NOTE: This review is from May of 2025. Aldi sold identical sausage links in January of 2026 for the same price of $1.65 for 6.4 ounces.

If you’re thinking about health, you may be avoiding traditional bacon and sausage. However, it’s worth giving turkey or chicken sausage a look. These options tend to be lower in fat, and you generally don’t sacrifice much in terms of taste.

Aldi sells different types of turkey sausage as limited-time specials. I their limited-buy rolls of ground turkey sausage, which are perfect for making biscuits and gravy or breakfast bowls.

My family also likes some pre-cooked heat-and-serve turkey sausage links that show up in the freezer aisle at Aldi from time to time.

Breakfast Best Heat-N-Serve Turkey Sausage Links are an Aldi Find, appearing only during certain times of year. Each store gets one shipment, and after that sells out, they won’t be back until whenever Aldi decides to bring them back. Aldi does not offer online ordering for these if they’re out of stock at your local store.

We buy Aldi products with our own funds. I paid $1.65 at my local Aldi in 2025 for a 6.4-ounce box that contains 10 links. As of 2026, the price is the same. That comes out to about 26 cents per ounce, or about 17 cents per link.

If you’re watching out for allergens, these contain soy.

Even though these are made with turkey, they’re still highly processed. The full ingredients list is turkey, mechanically separated turkey, water, soy protein concentrate, and less than 2% of dextrose, salt, sugar, spices, corn syrup, natural flavor, citric acid, BHA, and BHT.

One box contains about 3.5 servings. A three-link serving has 100 calories, 7 grams of total fat (9% DV), 2 grams of saturated fat (10% DV), 380 mg of sodium (17% DV), 2 grams of total carbohydrates (1% DV), no dietary fiber, 2 grams of total sugars, 2 grams of added sugars (4% DV), and 8 grams of protein.

The box has directions for heating these from frozen in a skillet or in the microwave.

To heat in the skillet, place frozen links and 3 tablespoons of water in an unheated skillet. Cover and heat over medium heat for 5 minutes. Uncover the skillet and heat for another 2 minutes. Turn links often to brown them.

To microwave, place frozen links on a paper towel on a microwave-safe dish, leaving space between links. Heat on high power. For five links, heat for 1 minute. For 10 links, heat for 2 minutes. Rearrange the links halfway through heating time for more even temperatures. Let stand 1 minute before serving.

Turkey sausage tastes a little different than pork sausage. Whether that is a problem or not depends on your tastes and preferences, and how important having a healthier option is for you. We tend to really like these, although we save them for occasional weekend breakfasts rather than eating them every day.

The Verdict:

Breakfast Best Heat and Serve Turkey Sausage Links are an option if you’re trying to stay away from pork sausage. We like how these taste, and they’re easy to quickly heat and serve. We always buy a few boxes of these every time Aldi stocks them.
