EDITOR’S NOTE: Updated for 2024.
Aldi cookware is a mainstay in my house. After trying all kinds of pots and pans, from higher-end Calphalon to basic Walmart brands, I’ve found that Aldi cookware tends to have good value for the cost.
My Aldi Crofton Awesome Pan, which is a much less expensive imitation of a name-brand Always Pan, gets regular use in my kitchen. So do my Aldi Crofton Caraway dupe pans. I also have a few Aldi saucepans, smaller frying pans, and a large stockpot that are workhorses when it comes to cooking everything from omelets to soup to macaroni and cheese.
Besides being great for cooking, and being easy to clean up afterward, Aldi pots and pans are often attractive-looking as well. I’ve seen them come in a variety of pretty colors and designs guaranteed to complement any kitchen.
The latest batch of pans to show up at Aldi have wooden handles — or at least they look like wood; Aldi has not yet published information about what the handles are made of. These wooden or wood-like handles give the pans a unique look.
These pans are sold under the Crofton brand, which is not a company but instead is the private label Aldi uses for assorted kitchen items such as ramen noodle bowls, divided serving trays, filtration pitchers, and more.
What We Know:
The Crofton Coastal Sauté Pan or Fry Pan Set (Product Code: 700080 in 2023; Product Code: 828504 in 2024) cost $16.99 each in February of 2024. That’s $3 less than the $19.99 they each sold for in February of 2023. That’s also on the lower end of prices for cookware with similar wooden or wood-like handles on Amazon.
These are Aldi Finds, so they’re only in stores for a short time. Each store gets one shipment, and after that sells out, they’re gone until whenever Aldi decides to bring them back, if ever. Aldi does not offer online ordering for products that are not in stock at your local store.

What We Don’t Know:
We haven’t purchased these pans, so we don’t know how well they work or how well they hold up to lots of cooking. We write open threads so readers can discuss Aldi products.
Have you purchased the Crofton Coastal Sauté Pan or Fry Pan Set? Tell us what you think in the comments.
i have a crofton saute pan with a lid (metal)
i left it on the stove too logs and burned the outer side of the pan. i tried scrubbing it with everything i could think of.
is there a product that i can use to clean the burn parks on the bottom and sides of the outside of my pan ?
Have you tried a Magic Eraser?
Where can I buy the 12 inch saute pan with lid in NE Ohio?
If it’s not currently in stock at your local Aldi, you’re out of luck.
I have the 10 inch fry pan in blue. My daughter dropped the lid and it shattered. I want to replace the lid but I’m having a very hard time doing that. Any ideas? The pan is beautiful and performs well.
I have the Crofton Coastal Sauté Pan, the Fry Pan Set, and the saucepan. I use my 8-inch pan for scrambled or fried eggs, which slip right onto my plate. I own a universal lid which I use for the 10-inch pan. The 12-inch Saute Pan is awesome for family meals. It is heavy. I am careful not to turn these on high heat. They cook evenly and heat up quickly enough for medium heat. The saucepan is great for cooking rice or veggies. I hand wash them. Only the 10-inch has left some residue after cooking meat but a little baking soda removed it. If not, I add water and heat it to scrape with a silicone spatula to remove the bits. I’ve been very pleased with anything Crofton!
